This is the DQ that is downtown Marion on 7th Ave. The new building is gorgeous, the employees are always friendly and quick with making the ice cream treats. I have had only good experiences at this Dairy Queen and have been going here since I was a kid and I plan on still going to this location. I have been to the other locations around Marion, Cedar Rapids, and Hiawatha and this one does no event compare by a long shot. 7th Ave DQ is THE DQ of the area hands down. The employees are friendly and always on their game. The owner and her family run a really good business with great workers. There is even a female employee who has been there for years and you can tell she truly loves working there. If you havent been to this DQ, you are missing out!

No wonder this Dairy Queen does not participate in the tip the cup over its so thick because every time I get a blizzard from here it is clearly mixed past the 8 seconds that it should. Their blizzards are always like milk with candy. The ice cream is always completely melted. I would never recommend this Dairy Queen. There has been too many things Ive noticed that I know they are not supposed to do. Not to mention the employees are rude and slow. You could go in there and be the only one in line and have it take 4 minutes just for your two blizzards to be ordered and 6 minutes for the blizzards to be made. This would only be typical if they were very busy and you had a long order. I will not be returning.

Both locations in Marion dont participate in the upside down blizzard deal. If you pay with cash you get a discount. The owner or manager is very rude to customers. I was finishing a call on my phone so I stood to the back and finished the call. When I got to the counter, the Manager/owner said, "Oh, you are finally off your phone and ready to order now?" When I was ready to pay with my Credit Card, she said "Well, you dont get the discount." I felt that could have been handled better, but that was just one example of the multiple times I have been treated poorly by this person at this location.

My friends and co-workers and I have stopped in several times recently to get ice cream. We have been treated poorly and spoken to rudely on every occasion. This location doesnt participate in things like serving the blizzards upside down and if you ask them they are rude about it. Though, in all honesty, it is probably a good thing they dont since most of the time they are soupy anyway! At this point I am willing to travel the extra distance to go to any other local DQ to get better service, quality and food (since this location does not serve food)!

Ive been through the drive thru 3 times now and ordered 3 different blizzards. Each time, all I get is a cup of ice cream. There is close to 0 candy in the blizzard. I complained one of the times, and the manager said maybe the girls are blending them too much. Well, I can get chocolate ice cream from the store for a lot cheaper than what DQ charged. Chintzy!

They built a new building on a very small piece of land and very difficult to get in and out. The prices are outrageous and the quality has gone down....guess they are price gouging in order to pay for it. We will never go again. We will drive across town because its cheaper and the quality is better.

Best tasting ice cream Ive had every single time I go there. The people are very friendly, and willing to have a conversation passed "Have a nice day". They do a great job of keeping the drive thru moving, and I will never go anywhere else but here for all of my ice cream needs!

Excellent local DQ. Always had friendly and fast service, consistent quality, and great ice cream. They dont participate in all the DQ promos, but dont let that stop you from going. Locally owned and operated, and brand new building around 2015.

Family owned & operated, a part of the Marion community forever. Beautiful new building with a ton of seating, fireplace and outside patio space. Drive-Thru if youre on the go. Real, quality DQ treats made exactly the way they should be!
