Took our 2008 Ford F-350 brush fire truck to Eddie Gilstraps on the 12th of Aug to have our power steering line replaced due to leaking. We learned that when the power steering goes bad so does the brakes? After Gilstraps had the truck 48 hours I had to call them to get an update. They told me that they had to order the parts and it would take two days. So 5 days later they finally fixed the power steering but now they said the brake master cylinder was bad. Now they had to order that part and said it would take one day for the part to come in. Well 48 hours later the brake parts came in and after 9 days that they had the truck and ME calling THEM 5 times to get updates we finally got our truck back. The excuses were (1) parts can not be found (I found the parts online and 45% cheaper and only 2 day shipping) (2) Mechanic was on vacation. (3) Service manager said part came in late (parts Dept said parts came in during the morning hours) (4) Service Manager said people were working on the truck (when I drove by you could see that no one was working on the truck. I checked 5 times during the day and still no one working on the truck). After keeping our fire truck out of service for 9 days and paying $1489.00 for replacing power steering lines and a master cylinder I never even received a thank you or explanation of charges by any of the service reps. The cashier did her best but I was very disappointed at the service people for ignoring the proper customer service etiquette that I deserved as a paying customer, I felt like I was bothering them. I personally will never take my two vehicles to Eddie Gilstraps for anything, nor will our fire fighters or my family and friends in and around Salem. I called 2 other dealerships in Clarksville and in Seymour and they both said the repairs took to long and we were over charged. Shame on you Gilstrap...

Look, I aint going to sugar coat this. They exchange goods and services for money. This is a business. The best business. Theres not another business around like them. They have the best mechanic(s) that can fix any kind of broken Ford because they have the most experience. I guarantee you no one has as much experience as these guys. Their sales guys are literally the best youve ever seen. The best youve ever seen. They can sell you any Ford you want (made in the past 5 years). Their customer service is the best. Its the best. The other day I walked in and had they had the most beautiful piece of chocolate cake youve ever seen. Honestly, these guys are great. Its a small town car dealership and its where you come across personalities you cant find in the city. You can walk in and get lost in conversation with anyone there. Since theyre a Ford dealership, their services are priced like other Ford dealerships. But what sets them apart from everywhere else is their customer service. When you go there, ask for Steve. Theres two of them. Theyre basically the same person, but you want the one with the little desk. Since he has a little desk, he has something to prove and goes above and beyond to get you whatever you need. But there is one salesman who is the best. Far better than the rest. He is the one you should always ask for. His name is Jay.

I purchased a 2001 f350 from Eddie Gilstrap Motors. Just an old beater for camp. Truck has 238000 miles on it. Truck runs and drives great. 2 days after purchase, the transmission goes out. I called them just to tell them what had happened. I was not expecting anything. They immediately offer to pay for half of the cost of the repairs. They did not have to do this. I know that, and so do they. But they wanted to do it. This is why I do business with them. They have always treated me like I was the priority. I will always do my auto purchasing with Eddie Gilstrap Motors. If they do not have what you are looking for. New or used. They will do what they can to help you find what you are looking for. The service department is great. The parts department will try and help you any way that they can. Even with pricing. If you need a new vehicle, or if you just need service. They are always ready to help.

I like my truck I really didnt like the service I feel like I was judged on who I am and it reflected on the kind of deal I got which wasnt really a deal at all I spent 26,600 cash on a 2012 f150 and I couldnt even get a set of new tires the ones that are on the truck are 56% when I mentioned it to the salesperson he made a joke about it and said he could probably find me some reasonable priced ones that I can go by myself and the salesperson and the sales manager was still trying to get more money out of me for the bumper-to-bumper coverage 2000 plus dollars I got the same exact coverage from a dealership in Louisville for 1700 and they tried to sell me a lid for 1300 and I got it for 11 at a dealership in Louisville Ive been waiting on my title for 3 weeks and I feel like theyre giving me the runaround and feeding me a lot of bologna about it........

After dealing with John Jones in Corydon (the nearest jeep dealership being where I live) for a month and a half bringing my jeep in numerous times and having two failed warranty claims I brought my jeep into Gilstrap twice and my jeep is fixed! I had no warranty issues and everyone there was super nice. I would walk into John Jones and no one would make eye contact with me acting like I had the plaque. I dont know if it was because no one wanted to work or what. I walk into Gilstrap having never been there and they all said hello like I was a friend. I primarily dealt with Jon at the service desk and he was awesome going above and beyond while taking away the stress of a broken vehicle. Thanks Gilstrap you will have a repeat customer from me! Highly recommended...

Tried to charge me $480.00 for a $13 part installed . Ok "part was $40 if it was a Ford part" I had a bad power steering leak. Shut it off when it happened. They claimed they inspected everything, and I needed a new pump, hose, pressure sensor. How?! It never even leaked all the fluid out. Not able to afford the repair, I bought a $13 pressure sensor aftermarket. Installed in, and have drove 2,000 miles with no issues. They also tried to tell me that my 2002 vehicle had an electric rack and pinion. Which was false. The service writer kept saying the mechanic powered it up, put power to it, etc.. Dont always believe these crooks. Watch out!

Havent gone here to purchase a car, but took my Mazda 3 here after I put it into a ditch - I had to bring the car back three times because after they fixed the car, one of my door switches didnt work because it was disconnected during service. I then had to come back because the front end wasnt aligned and I had to finally come back to get the plastic cover that goes over my battery re-installed. All damage that was fixed was to the rear drivers side of the car - Im not sure why they had to disconnect the battery and remove the plastic cover. I only recommend going here for service if you want a fool to mess with your car.
