Ive shopped at this Kroger every single week for over 3 years. Ive watched the remodel and have just gone with the flow as they moved things around, thinking it would only improve it. While the new additions have been nice, customer service has gone downhill. I recently tried to return an item without a receipt, I even told them I was more than happy with a gift card because I was about to spend $100+ . It was my fault that I didnt have the receipt, but most places will give you a gift card/store credit without a receipt so I didnt realize it would be such a big deal. I ended up at customer service for over 30 minutes. 2 of the 3 people I spoke to were fairly pleasant and eager to help me. The third was kinda rude but tried to hide her rudeness with jokes even commenting that my "excuse" of it being too advanced for my daughter wasnt a very good excuse and that wasnt their fault. I even told her that if she didnt want to exchange it, that was fine but no need to insult us. She laughed it off and said "no, Ill do it this time, but next time you need your receipt" Ive worked in customer service, I get it, but no need to be rude to your customers. Now, on to the next issue. My daughter has autism, which can make things a challenge, so I was EXTREMELY excited when the store purchased some "Carolines carts" for disabled people. It makes shopping so much easier, but heres the problem, they dont take care of these carts. Theyre constantly put outside and get dust from the construction on them, rain, and even bird poop. I spoke to a manager about it and was assured they would be stored better from then on, but theyre still being left out. Its also a guessing game on which side theyll be on and I always lose. Its frustrating to have to search for carts meant for disabled people, I would think they would make them more easily available. Last, but not least, I dont think baggers are being trained very well. Items that shouldnt be put together always end up in the same bag (for example, raw meat with fresh vegetables or lunch meat; cleaning supplies with food) I know their jobs are stressful but overlooking something like that could lead to illness. There are definitely some great people working there, but training could be improved. By the way, I am the type that rarely speaks up or complains, so I wouldnt be on here if I didnt genuinely have concerns.

I really enjoyed store employee at store. Except 1 security guard he stalked me for 20 mintues while I picked out all my fruits and vegetables. He has his arms crossed and was giving me mean looks. It made me want to grab an apple and run just to mess with him. The female security guard was very polite and so were the people stocking the shelf as well as ringing me up at register. I just didnt appericate walking in the store and being starred at for the first 20 mintues of my shopping experience like I was a criminal. There were other people I am not sure why he was targeting me but I didnt appericate it.

Awesome Kroger. Best in the Louisville Metro and yes that includes Middletown out in the East End. Prices are actually cheaper here and they constantly have reduced prices items that will go "out of date" in a few days which is great for families on a budget. You can also spend a lot on high dollar items too. Had a Starbucks and Sushi bar also. Just phenomenal! Employees are amazing also. They greet every time and ask if you need assistance

This is the most visited Kroger in the USA(a good friend works for Kroger Corporate) and my experience has been a good one. Only had to return products a handful of time after shopping here for many years. I really dont like how the store has changed over the years but its really a battle for shelf space which I hope will be solved in the renovation. They just seem to stop carrying the things I like and I shop here less because of it.

The renovations were poorly designed. It now feels like stepping into a giant labyrinth (only with no David Bowie). Its just obnoxiously big. And they still dont have a fresh squeezed oj machine, the only thing I requested from management. *Also I spent 15 minutes in here asking 4 different employees where velveeta cheese was for a party and no one knew. Eventually I called the store from inside the store to get help.

As always the people were great the selection was fantastic but the place is so freaking huge I cant deal with it I used to know that Kroger like the back of my hand but now I cant get out of there in less than an hour and when I do I feel like Ive run a marathon. Well tonight was it my legs and my feet cant handle walking several miles to do my grocery shopping is Charlestown Road or Grant Line from now on.

While construction continues at the State Street Store the employees go out of their way to assist in helping finding products. Having been in the grocery business and going through remodeling myself, I truly understand the need for customer service and they go above and beyond. Thank you.

Staffing seems to be non-existent and thats not a construction issue, plenty of management trying to look busy. Hope you dont need anything from customer service, they usually only have one person working and they are involved doing money orders or cashing checks.

I hate that theres only self checkout open late at night. I work 3rd shift, and its easier to shop then. There should be an option for checking out with a cashier in case theres a problem. Otherwise there should be a discount since Im doing all the work myself.

Scam network. Pharmacy steals medications and insurance benefits, muddles and creates duplicate pharmacy records that dont add up. Needing driver license information so they can steal more from you when writing a check, they are only suppose to check ID.

The remodeling seems to be taking forever but I like it so far. All of the staff always look like theyre working hard every time Im there. Im so excited that they have a whole section dedicated to cheese. Im not talking about Kraft singles either!! :-)

Not enough restrooms for such a large store. Total 6 stalls. Went to checkout and only had 3 check out lanes open. Each had at least 5 people waiting in them. It took 30 minutes to get to me as the 6th person. Very bad experience.

DO NOT GO TO KROGERS BAKERY! They are disrespectful and rude. Theyre dishonest and lack skills. They dont know how to utilize their equipment and they make very rude comments when youre not pleased with their work.

This is my regular grocery stop and I have never been disappointed. I have yet to experience bad costumer services at this location and staff has always been helpful and friendly to me.

Its too large and Its difficult to locate what youre after. Also, for all thats holy, if Kroger is going to expand its store, how about expanding the employees at the checkout lanes.
