I went in to Montezuma Jewelers today searching for a new watch. There was only one person in the store, presumably the owner, although he did not introduce himself. I was immediately impressed by their selection of watches. Not once did the man working offer to show me anything, nor did he engage in conversation with me in any capacity. I selected a watch that I wanted to see and he got it out of the case for me. I then asked him several questions about the watch and he did not know the answer to any of them. Worse still, he did not offer to find the information that I requested or look for the answers to my questions in any way. I then asked him the price of the watch, and to my shock, he wouldnt tell me. He simply stated that "we could talk about it if I wanted to buy it". Why would I ask if I wasnt interested in the piece? Anyway, I continued to look at the watch and see for myself if I could answer any of my questions by examining the watch closely for myself. When I started touching the crown of the watch, the owner snapped at me and told me "not to play with it." Excuse me? I own several nice watches and am very well versed in horological knowledge, which I explained to the owner. At that point I had enough. I gave the watch back and quietly left. My recommendation is not to do business with Montezuma, not only were they unprofessional and downright rude, but their knowledge of their own inventory was almost non-existent. Take your business elsewhere and avoid Montezuma Jewelers at all costs.

great service, took a pic of a custom made ring i found in a magazine, they were able to build it within a couple weeks. looks even better than the original with cleaner,smoother detail in the engravings and designs, and a couple hundred bucks cheaper. kept me informed every step of the way by providing/explaining options such as white gold or platinum, benefits of different stones, etc..I especially like that they didnt try to oversell me something i couldnt afford or didnt need. for example, they explained up front that platinum would offer the same color, with greater durability, but would cost much more than white gold. in my experience, most places would push the platinum. very proffesional and friendly service, will definitely use them again.

I went to Montezuma Jewelers with a design for an engagement ring that me and my fiance found and fell in love with. The owner and master craftsman took the design and with minuscule changes made an absolutely beautiful, one of a kind ring. Four months later and I still catch my fiance gazing into it. Prices are a little higher because of cost of labor but it is worth it. We looked around at other stores for rings and the quality just didnt compare. The owner and master craftsman was beyond helpful. Will be going to Montezuma for all future jewelry needs!

I knew I wanted something unique and had specific features in mind. The owner drew up some amazing sketches then brought my ideas to life! It is more than I couldve expected. It sparkles in every direction and I am the only one in the world with this ring!!!

If I could give it 10 stars I would. Dave is a down-to-earth, accomplished jeweler and an artist who can tailor anything to what you want and doesnt charge and arm and a leg to do it. My highest recommendations.
