Hit or miss. I go to this location specifically to eat lunch at their salad bar/deli and to pick up misc. items, as I do not live near this store, but work nearby. I have to say that unless Don, the deli manager is working, the deli/salad bar is a borderline disaster. Several of the women who restock the salad bar are very rude. I have heard them make comments under their breath at customers and talk badly about customers. The line at the cash register in the deli area is usually backed up unless Don is working. The salad bar is not as good as it used to be. The selection dressings has changed and not for the better. They are out of certain produce at the salad bar a lot. When they refill the produce at the bar, the bring a fresh container and then dump the old produce on top of the fresh. With something like olives, this is very bad as they old taints the new instantly...sometimes the deli salad bar is good. Sometimes it isnt. The service is so so unless you are dealing with Don. I wish they would train someone to be on par with Don. Most of the women that work the deli act like they dont want to be there.

Being Mars Hill, you can only get so fancy. This grocery stores the fanciest place within a couple miles. That includes all other stores like automotive stores or other grocery stores or gas stations and small businesses peppered around Mars Hill. This is where the redneck-rich people come to buy their groceries

Expensive when compared to Kroger. No self-checkout. Only 1 cashier and a line of almost 10 customers/carts. The plus side is its not crowded at all and they sell things the Kroger across the street doesnt sell because its a hood store.

The service here is just blah with high prices and only one person cashing people out... Too much competition in this area to accept such subpar service. And by poor service I mean the management not the cashiers!

Overall its okay however the produce selection is very limited along with the fresh meats. Prices are slightly high so ask for a Marsh card if you dont have one already.
