Out of state or town buyers, beware! If you live local to this dealership, then take whatever vehicle you are looking at to have an inspection done from a non biased service shop. We purchased a 2013 Audi A3 with 11,400 miles on it knowing that it had been in an accident. Carfax did not disclose the severity of it, and I did as much research as possible to determine that it was a minor front end collision. Although the exterior of the vehicle appeared to be in very good shape, apparently Carmel Motors decided to "band aid" fix an 11,000 mile car with "salvage yard" parts. I spent more than 10 years in the business and never in my experiences did the dealers I worked with replace parts on a vehicle that was still under the manufacturer warranty with used parts! So to sum it up, we experienced an oil leak upon arrival of our vehicle in MI. It has spent the last 3 weeks in and out of a local Audi dealers service department to find out that the timing chain cover was also tampered with and shows signs of another "band aid" repair. I read a lot of negative reviews and consider myself pretty savvy when it comes to vehicles, and I was blinded to it all by a low price. I guess I expected more from a dealer that stocks so many high line vehicles. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra cash for a certified vehicle from a reputable dealership. I had discussions with Dan Lesher, our Salesman. Christina in Finance who threw it in my face that I bought the car "as-is" and should have purchased a warranty! Then back tracked when she heard that it had "salvage yard" parts on it, warranties dont cover used parts! And Steve Roth (Owner of Carmel Motors) and was told that they would do nothing to help with the $1,200 repair. I am certain that many folks have probably had repairs like this and larger after purchasing vehicles from this dealer. When you get told by the owner that you should act like an adult and not accuse them of knowing about these issues, its a real shame! Online reputation means a lot when you rely on selling vehicles to folks from out of state. Mr. Roth stated that they sell between 40-50 out of state deals a month. I would trust your gut and not buy from this organization if you know whats best for you. I had to open my wallet and pay for these repairs as we are in the middle of planning a wedding and the words "Im sorry" werent even mentioned until he said he wouldnt help with the repair! To take this a little further, I called Carmax who they purchased the car from to see if I could get a sellers disclosure for any damages or notes that proved the vehicles mechanical and physical condition. I was informed that they couldnt release that to me and I would need to call the selling dealer. I must have asked for this document a dozen times from Mr. Steve Roth and he denied me the chance to see it. He said I would need to take his word on it, that it didnt have a mention of an oil leak! So I buy a car that has obvious signs of a history of oil loss as it was noted from Audi of Indianapolis for the following dates: 3/15/15, 6/29/15 and 7/24/15 then take the word of the "Salesman" that the vehicle is damn near perfect and come to find out, its got a leak in the timing chain cover and will cost me over $1,000 to repair.....but the owner wants me to take his word! I have family that lives in Carmel, they know a lot of people and those people will be steering clear of them and telling everyone that is a perspective to avoid this operation as well. I was really looking forward to leaving a positive review, as I know first hand how good it feels to be recognized for doing the right thing and taking care of my customers! Shame on the ownership for not doing the right thing!

We drove over 2 and a half hours to Carmel Motors because we were looking for a specific car in a specific color. They offered beautiful pictures of the perfect car for us. When we arrived the car was the right model and color as advertised but it was rough. The arm rest cover fell off when we sat in the car. The car showed a lot of wear, scratches, etc. but it was a used car and at this point we were trying to see if we could fix those things and proceed with a sale. Chris, the salesman, offered for us to take it for a ride. Since the car was in the showroom, he (Chris, the salesman) had to drive it outside. He worked a little hard at turning the car around and brought it outside. As we drove, my husband commented that he thought that maybe the power steering might not be working right. Then we noticed that the gas gauge was below empty so we had to stop and buy some gas so we didnt run out of gas during our test drive. When we got back, Chris again worked and worked at getting the car back into the showroom. My hubby mentioned that he didnt think the steering seemed right. Chris said that it was working just fine. A good salesman would say, "Ill have it looked at." Instead he wanted to argue. We even offered a lower price because Book Value was much less and the car needed some work. He said that the cost is determined by how many are for sale in the area and since there were not many...the cost is the cost. We left. Reading the other reviews makes me realize how lucky we were that we didnt buy the car. Things were going bad already in the dealership showroom. I will always read reviews from now on. We looked at 4 cars in a 3 state area. 2 of the dealerships were really bad and the other 2 were wonderful!! We bought a car yesterday from a very professional salesperson in a very professional car dealership. We find ourselves researching the cars in great details and need to do the same thing to the company selling them.

Took the day off from work to travel 3.5 hours to come look at a specific car, 2007 Volvo XC90, hoping wed be going home with it. I strongly suggest taking any vehicle you take from Carmel Motors for a test run down the road to Miller Auto Care for a $45 full inspection. Its worth it if youre strongly considering buying from this place. All seemed well until we got the mechanics report back- all I can say is Im so thankful we spent the $45 to find out that there was at least $1500 worth of serious problems. Im not talking a few cosmetic dings... These were serious issues. Among other things these were the serious problems found; -Both front outer tie rod ends were loose. Need replacement. -Front sway bar end links are loose. Need replacement. -Fuel filter inlet is held together with a plastic zip tie. Need replacement immediately. All of these things could cause a horrible wreck or leave someone stranded on the interstate because all of their gas just leaked out. Its just unethical to let someone drive away like that. The mechanic didnt even think it was safe to drive back to the lot and the best Carmel Moters could offer was to take $500 off the final price which is laughable because just walking into a Volvo mechanics shop probably costs that much for a diagnosis. They finally agreed to repair everything but still werent willing to budge on the price? Not even the dealership fee which is a fee they basically make up to file the paperwork even though they should have been responsible for making sure all of this was done from the beginning... Find someone that has a dealers/auction liscene and skip this place forsure.
