When I think of a used car salesman, Patrick O’day comes to mind. He is exactly what’s wrong with the automotive sales industry. I had come in to see a TSX that I was interested in and eventually purchased it. I had previously discussed the car as well as the out the door cost prior with Paul Stewart. I was looking forward to dealing with him through this, as it seemed like he would be able to assist me with minimal stress. However, when I came in, Paul was not in and Patrick had “helped” (depending on what your definition of help is) me. Initially, I didn’t think would be an issue seeing as I had already discussed the price and had emails back and forth with the agreed upon price. However (again), Patrick ran me through almost every trick in the book to not honor the price I was given. From having a “loud conversation” with a manager to make it seem like he was trying to negotiate on my behalf, to just blatant lies such as I would have to pay an additional fee to certify the car, even though I was exclusively looking at the “certified” section of the Acura website. I have purchased cars before and I know that’s not how it works. Another lie was the fact that he tried to convince me that I did not get 2 pairs of keys with the car, and I had read about Acura certified cars and getting 2 keys upon purchase is outlined within this, as well as being advised by the finance representative that getting 2 keys is part of the deal when getting a certified car. Finally the car had 4,000 more miles than discussed, I would understand a few 100 in transportation, but a few thousand over is a bit ridiculous. When this was mentioned in negotiating the price, Patrick just underplayed it changed the subject. If my money was important, why wasn’t the miles on the car important? After feeling like I got taken for a complete ride, as I got to the car to drive home, there were more surprises. The final 2 slaps in the face were a.) The car was given to me at almost an empty tank of gas, something I’ve never seen when buying a car, used or otherwise, and b.) Not being able to give me the car with a functioning radio. I was told that a rep would call me the next day to get me codes. The codes didn’t work, and I was forced to bring it back on another day to get it resolved. This was by far the worst sales interaction I’ve ever had. My only mistake was wanting to give the dealership my business sooner, and not waiting for my salesman that I had talked to. I had traded a competent salesman for convenience. I wouldn’t recommend him to my enemies. But hey I guess it really doesn’t matter right? You already sold the car, got the commission, and moved on. I mean let’s be honest. This review isn’t going to change anything. I just more used it as a forum to vent my frustration at how terrible of an experience this was, and if at all possible have my story be a cautionary tale for others to not have to go through this. By the way nice try attempting to silence me when I tried to post a review on your internal website, where only good reviews are posted.

the most cunning dealership! I just found the prior reviews about this dealership is so untrue. They sound like being written by the dealership itself, which also let me--a customer feel that I have to stand up for the truth. And the truth is this dealership is the worst dealership I have experienced. Overall, the business culture at this dealership has been pretty bad. They will try all their best tricks to get your money. For example, they will boost their 5% discount policy that will grantee you a match with the lowest price you got elsewhere with a further 5% discount. However, you get to be careful here because once you drove in their dealership, they will tell you this 5% discount is only on the discount part of your price quote from other places, which turns out to be around $100 saving only at best--almost the gas price you paid for driving in if you were lured from remote cities by them. As you are regretting for driving so far to come to them, their salesman, Jim Zahrt in our case, will pretend to be sympathy and would help you find a better deal with a sheet of their "discounted" accessories. If you havent done your homework well or bring a paper with you so that you can remember the price of every single accessory, you could easily pay 50% more for the accessories they sell to you, which will be much cheaper from other local dealers or purchasing directly from Accura itself. And this does not include their pricy labor yet. A cargo mat, for instance, marked for about 103 on other places before negotiation, can be about $140 on their sheet. What is ridiculous in this dealership is that, they would even charge you labor cost above that inflated price for "installing" a cargo mat, which you can really just put in with no efforts yourself!!! I think their trick is to lure customers in with a ill-explained 5% discount and then chop them off with their pricy accessories. And what makes this dealership more indecent is that once they feel that they can not cheat your money, they will abandon you immediately. In the case of Jim, he even didnt want to waste his time on pretending to be polite once we found out his trick and decided not to move further with him. He rushed out of room right away and left us with shock on the table! Finally, if they fooled you successfully to a contract, you are hooked. No further care and question answering. No second thoughts or renegotiation. and of course, No return without a pricy charge even if you just drove out of their door a minute ago. This is one of the most cunning dealership I have seen on the market. And Jim is an very indecent salesman!

I hate to be the one to write this review because I love my car.. Ive just recently purchased a 2013 Acura ILX from the dealership I work at. We are not an Acura dealership and the vehicle is also not a certified pre-owned vehicle (which I can live with). Anyway, I submitted a form requesting contact from anyone at the dealership not realizing I submitted it for the sales department. Oh well, my mistake. A couple minutes later, at 5:11pm to be exact, I get a phone call from a sales representative. Dont remember his name, just know he was a male. He told me they had received an inquiry about me being interested in a new 2017 TLX. I told him "no but I have a couple questions about a vehicle I purchased two weeks ago" but that I wasnt sure if hed be able to help me out. He proceeded to ask me what my questions were already sounding a little aggravated. When I explained that I just wanted to know what the manufacturer recommended service schedule was and how much warranty life my vehicle remained for my vehicle he chuckled and his exact word were "Im sorry but I wont be able to help you out with that" I said "okay" and he hung up. He did not suggest that he could transfer me to the service department who most definitely would have been able to help me out. It was my mistake making the inquiry through the sales department but what kind of customer service is this? I work in the same job field (like I mentioned I work at a dealership) and NEVER have I or any of my colleagues been this rude to a customer. Customer service is our #1 priority, and I know it is as well to most dealerships who value their customers. When we do not have the right answers to a customer we AT LEAST TRY to help them out or transfer them to someone who will. We do not just hang up or be rude after realizing that they are not a potential sale in our designated department(s). Like I said, I hate to be the one to write this review because I love my vehicle and Acura as a whole. This is super disappointing because I really looked forward to being a genuine customer to this facility. It was so highly rated and everything seemed great. This is the closest Acura dealership to me and where I would be taking my vehicle to get serviced. Well, where I THOUGHT I would be...
