Adam Time

First time I had a problem with this Person they did not want me to take a cart out side. I said why would you do that they put my stuff in a small basket I explained that the other part of the store i will be using the cart to finish my shopping that is the liquor store. Then I asked are you serious your telling me in front of everyone not to use a shoping cart to shop with next door. She said yes you do not need to. I contacted the manager and told them. when the new manager came and took over the store what a wonderful nice man and the place is much better ran from my point of view. I explained to him that employee does not like me i have nothing against her but she treats me very bad when I am there. What have I ever done besides walk in pay with cash and walk out. I worked from 3 am till 7pm taking care of customers. just befor 7 ran to the store to get my . I am sorry close to closing I guess but I yeled for some one to check me out. And she looked around the corner i figured she was sweeping and was going to put the broom away. I waited a minute and then looked around the corner and she had no intention of comming to check me out . I went next door and told the manager if you you all do not want me to shop here just say so. I have only been polite and kind except when he said. You know our operation here. I said I do. Well sir I waited I yelled she looked and then blew the customer off. Look AllI want to do is walk in your store wait in line pay for the goods you sell. What is so hard. not be called a cracker under the woman voice or be told I know the operation here. I have only had two bad times there and both with the same employee. This will be in our local news paper. I own a Bicycle shop and trust me if I treated my customers this way I would go broke. And you all would get no money. If your white hope you do not get the black woman that calls white people crackers.

Ive been going to Save-A-Lot for over 3 years. I give it 5 stars based on other discount stores. It wouldnt be fair to compare it to Schnucks, now would it? Its always clean and well organized. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Its never so busy that you cant get in and out quickly if you must. The produce is the least impressive of any grocery store, but then I dont think people who go there are much into produce. The meat department, on the other hand, is very nice as they have staff on hand just for that department. The frozen food section is vast! Its sort of the counter balance to the produce section, but again, I think their clientele prefers it that way. You could easily live on their frozen food, alone, and never get tired of the selection. This isnt the cheapest grocery store in town, but they provide bags, dont force you to return your cart for a quarter rental, and theyre centrally located near downtown Urbana. I really like Save-A-Lot!

The store is usually pretty clean and neat. The night staff is usually nice and accommodating. (I dont shop during the day too often so I dont know about the day staff.) Good products.
