Horrible experience with these guys!! I went in to have my printer looked at and possibly repaired. The young man told me that he would contact me within 24 to 48 hours if its something that could be fixed or not. I dropped it off Sunday afternoon. By Wednesday, I still havent heard nothing, so I called and asked them what was going on? The guy told me that the printer was taken apart but never looked at. I asked him what happened to the phone call? He never gave me a reason why he didnt call me, he just apologized and said he would definitely call me Thursday evening when someone looks at it. Thursday comes and goes so Friday Im like, WTF!! Did I do something wrong for these guys not to communicate with me. So when I call Friday, Im pissed because these guys are not keeping their word. I called AGAIN and I spoke to the manager. He said to give him an hour and HE would call me back with a update on my printer. 6 HOURS LATER, I called him back and he said that they got busy and once again he apologized. He asked me to give him Monday or Tuesday by the end of the day to try to fix it. My dumb ass agreed...smh. So guess what I got Tuesday? A email saying that they were unable to fix the printer and ALSO another email right behind that one saying that they tried to contact by phone but the voicemail wasnt set up!! Give me a F****** break!! These guys are sooooo unprofessional and on top of that HUGE liars!! I would have not given them one star but I had to give them something in order to write a review. NEVER WILL I EVER RECOMMENDED OR USE THESE CLOWNS AGAIN!!!

I walked in, I played super smash brothers melee, I walked out. I go most Sundays for weeklies. But to be entirely serious for a long moment: Gamers HQ is a gaming store, right next to a delicious pizza place and comic shop. Theyre primary draw seems to be League of Legends players and competitive Super Smash Brothers Melee / Project M players, though they offer much more, to include gaming PCs with all sorts of stuff, XBox games, fight stick stations, multitudes of small TVs for competitive console FPS players and bigger ones for people looking to kick back and play a single player game. Theres also a giant projection TV (or something of the sort) that theyll stream major tournaments on. 10 of the gaming PCs are put across from eachother with a window dividing them for 5 on 5 tournaments. Another bundle of them are against a wall that mostly get used for League of Legends. Nothing gets locked up tight as far as the PCs go. If youve got a preferred keyboard, mouse, headset, bring em in and use them. They do kids parties here if you ask. From Minecraft to Call of Duty to Super Smash Brothers for Wii U. The one complaint I do have is the occasional person that is WAY to god damn loud for far, far longer than is necessary. Theyll just be screaming like a child or a monkey at their PC for hours sometimes and nobody asks them to... I dunno, shut the hell up for the other people around.

This place had the best gamers atmosphere. With great Playlists of music ranging from 8bit remixes to power metal. There are tons of machines that are kept up to date as to run the latest games at perfect FPS. The workers keep conflict resolution very professional and are always willing to help. Their repair service is quick and they always let you know the essential info (will my data survive? How long is this going to take? Etc..). Sometimes it is loud, which I see as a sign of happy (or frustrated) gamers that are comfortable in their environment. I would recommend this place to anyone trying to relax and play a game alone or with all their friends. They have been doing super smash brother tournaments with cash prizes lately. I hear that their setup for birthday parties is more than generous for the price and there is never an upset kid, or parent. I have been to at least a dozen video game cafes in my lifetime and this one takes the cake for location, atmosphere, selection of games, snacks, beverages, and opponents or allies for your favorite game. Truly a business run right. Thank you Gamers HQ for being my number 1.

I have been a regular customer of Gamers HQ since the day it was opened over two years ago and it has become one of my favorite places to be. There are so many games to choose from, from PC to console and more, and they host tournaments and birthday parties all the time. They also offer computer and console repairs and will give you a free inspection if you dont know exactly whats wrong with it. Even if you dont play too many games, its a great place to go just to hang out with cool people. All the regulars have become a tight knit group of friends and it makes for such a welcoming environment. The owner Josh Weber is one of my best friends and he is sincerely one of the nicest and hardest working people I have ever met. If you have never been to GHQ, bring a friend along and try it out because you will not be disappointed. Its located practically right across the street from the College of Lake County (perfect for killing time between classes), and next door to a comic book store and a pizza place! Couldnt ask for a better location, a better environment, or a better group of people.

GamersHQ is an amazing environment for all kinds of gamers. There are so many people there with knowledge on a vast number of games and each person has a passion for the ones they play. It is so easy to go out of your comfort zone and just relax knowing that this is a safe haven for anyone who wants to stop by. GamersHQ is literally one of the only reason i have 90% of the close friends that I have today and that group of close friends continues to grow. I have been going there for 3 years now and am still a daily customer. 5/5 stars is an understatement for how much this place means to me as an individual. Josh Weber has done a great job constructing this place into what I have called my home and I encourage more anyone adn everyone to stop by. I promise you, you wont regret it.

I dont know where to begin... first of all, the atmosphere of this place is phenomenal. Its very professional and very clean. Recently they made a couple renovations and I was feeling a bit iffy about it because I liked the original set up, but wow was I in for a treat!! they went the extra mile for sure. more monitors, new couches, new floor tiles and a whole lot more. For a second I wasnt sure if I was even at the right place, but the owners instantly welcomed me with a warm "hello!!" and I knew I was at the right place. You really cant go wrong by coming to Gamers HQ. Its a great place for computer gaming and hanging out in general. I highly recommend you stop by! (also its next to a pizza place, it cant get better than this!)

Met a bunch of people who went here through a couple of parties I attended. They kept on telling me that I need to go. Being a girl gamer I was very skeptical. I am SO happy i went! I have become so close with so many people here. Have so many fond memories of the place and the Owner Josh has been a close friend of my friends for a while and I am glad that i have gotten to know him! I show up usually once a week! So stop by and play some LoL and WoW with me!! :) I guess all I would have left to say is that it is a clean place, fast internet and I get I have recently realized that the trees in world of warcraft are not bricks lol. They actually have leaves.
