Their prossed foods contain soy and corn syrup. The ice cream is disgusting. Their using corn syrup and sucrose. Some of their wheat products show that it is mixed with soy beans which is GMO since more than 90% of soy is gmo. Beware of all the ingredients since they are using soy, soy leciyin, corn syrup, sucrose, etc. They are genetically modified and dangerous to health. They are also using artificial coloring in their products. The Britannia biscuits show tartrazine a fake color. It is a byproduct of coal tar. Read the Warning labels on this brand. This is know to cause cancer. Need to go organic and non-gmo. Search "Vandana Shiva" on youtube.

I went there coz my nanny raves about this shop and their prices. I was happy to see the Indian veggie options that I had and ended up buying quite a lot veggies and groceries. The lady charged me twice for two items. Since I had so many things in my cart, I didnt check when the lady was checking out the items. I checked the bill when I got home and saw that she had charged me two times for the Vadilal Anjeer ice cream, (large tub $10) and for the ready Bhel mix ($4.99). I know its not much, but I would rather go to my Indian grocery shop close to my house since he knows me very well and wouldnt cheat. The prices were the same.

If you want to shop here without a headache go when they open or an hour after. I go during the week and everything is fresh and the Hispanic employees that work there are very nice and helpful. The Indian employees are good too and know what you are looking for. I went one time during the weekend and it was terrible. Its not the staff it was the very rude and ignorant Indian customers. They expect to bargain like in India. Trust me this is a great place if you go one hour after they open during the weekday only.

Great Indian store. Fresh produce better price than American grocery stores. Since this store has high traffic out of all the other Indian stores, spice packets usually dont stay on the shelves very long. However you got to be vigilant checking expiry dates, it is very common practise in India and Indian stores ignore that. I love the varieties of products Patel brothers got. Returning any stuff in Indian stores is a big challenge not straight forward like in American stores. So be careful when you buy stuffs

Tried for a 0 star, but it wasnt there. The only punctual Indian store in US. They close not at 8, but before that. It was a lack of planning, but for an urgency I went to buy an item, I was on time before their closing time, but the door was closed. The other entrance was guarded by an employee and didnt allow me in. They should first learn to respect the urgency of the customers. Not to blame the employees, but the manager or whoever decides the closing time.

Best Indian store. This store is must have for those who truly want to cook authentic Indian food at home. Has some of the freshest vegetables you can ever find. Best part is they are always replenished freshly on a daily basis. Store also carries lots of exotic Indian herbs and spices you cannot find anywhere else. Store is also very tech saavy; they accept Apple Pay in addition to the usual cash, checks, credit cards, and debit cards.

The aisles are too narrow even for a single shopping cart. And dont ever go there on weekends. You may have to put up with obnoxious number of customers densely packed into a small area. You may have better experience on weekdays. One good thing is the prices are reasonable for vegetables and cooked food items. Also the variety of groceries is quite expansive.

Thier store supervisor fat guy has no capabilities to manage the store and his attitude with customers and employees is very awful and especially when any customer has any issue about his purchase he just treat like punishment, No courtesy no good behavior Overall Patel brother is a awesome place for foreigners comunity And fantastic for all of us

Hankering for dosa? Fresh chapati? Chicken 65? Whatever it may be, Patel Brothers will have you covered. This is quite simply the nicest Indian grocery store I have ever visited. It is clean, well maintained, and fully stocked. They likely have whatever you might need and even more likely at a bargain. Come and get your gulab jamun on!

The go to place for Indian groceries. Place is pretty huge by Indian grocery standards and has a large variety compared to the smaller shops in the Chicago suburbs. The only con is that this place is always crowded and you find more of Swad brand products rather than other brands.

They sell expired stuff in their frozen department. Avoid it if possible but I know for Indian grocery we do not have much options so be careful while purchasing anything from here. Cross verify the expiry every time. I never this kind of experience in any other patel store.

This has to be the worst store in the world. Rude employees and people who were there Sunday have to simply crazy. It took me 45 mins to park and then it took 1 hour check out. No thank you. I will never go back to this place. I rather starve myself to death.

I cant think of any better store to replace the dearly departed Polish-oriented Shop and Save. They have a great produce selection and a good variety of prepared foods (naan, paneer, ghee) that make it easy for even white folks like me to make tasty dishes.

Staff is rude and look stoned all the time Ridiculous business hours. At least on Friday and Saturday open untill 9.30pm. all the items are pricy. You will be spending $10 more on purchase of $50 worth of goods when compared to valley and Rajasree.

Too crowded and the spices are not as fresh as you would find in a nonethnic store. Indians dont know manners as they push each other thru the extremely narrow aisles. Dont got there on weekends else youll be squished like a bug under the stampede!

Its a one stop shop for all Indian vegetables, spices, snacks, bread and frozen items. The only minus being the vegetables and not very fresh. For buying vegetables I prefer Valli, but i go here once a week to get chappathis and snacks.
