Do not shop here! My family has been shopping here for years, even before it became H Mart. We bought marinated beef and spicy pork a few days ago. We opened the beef Friday morning for my kids lunches, which had a use by date of 8/29/14 & 8/30/14. Both pack were rancid! We ate the pork and took the meat back today 8/31/14. I told the manager. He explained he could nothing and policy was you has 24hrs to return meat. I did not have a receipt as I did not expect a problem. We have never had meat go bad before. He informed me I should always keep my receipt. I responded by asking "So your saying I should expect the food I buy from you to go bad before the use by date?" He responded by saying "Yes." I was not asking for money back, I just wanted the bad meat replaced. He could have looked up my receipt by our credit card as all other retailers will, but refused. Usually one bad experience would not keep me from shopping there, but the manager just told me I should expect that their food will go bad and before the use by date. He also informed me you only have 24 hours to return meat or fish. They obviously know they are selling bad meat that will not make it to the sell by date. Now I am wondering what I have been feeding my kids lately.

Rude manager and cashier who argues with you for their mistake with lottery tickets. The cashiers were not trained to scan lottery slips, so one of them manually punched-in my numbers, but over-charged me due to a mistake. I didnt want to argue, but I wanted my money back, so I asked the manager to redo my numbers, which he scanned. But, he had his cashier buy my previous tickets instead of disposing them due to a mistake. The bad customer service comes from both of them arguing and raising their voices when I asked them politely to fix the issue. My wife and I go to the Hmart at Niles, and we came here on Easter Sunday to support this new place, spending $105 on groceries without demanding anything...and you get an argument from a manager and cashier, without apology, and, they made the mistake in the first place. A small issue just became a BIG problem. If this is how they treat their customers, this place will not last long, as the customer service is horrible. I wanted to go here for Asian groceries, but Ill just go to Super Hmart Niles, Unimart, and Valli Produce, where customers are respected and treated right.

What a great store! The assortment of Asian food, primarily Korean, in this store is amazing. Be warned that many of their products have little to no English printed on them so it is helpful to know precisely what it is youre looking for when you go to this store, and to have a smartphone to look things up as you go along. Their vegetable prices are in-line with any other high-service and boutique grocery store and their quality is superb. Their meat and fish selections are amazing. AMAZING! The quality is almost unbelieveable. This store isnt very close to my home, but I try to make a visit about twice a month, just because of their fish selection. The staff is always friendly, although not always helpful to me. Cashiers will only point to where they want you to go, some of the stocking and butcher staff dont speak English (and sadly, I never learned any Asian languages). Even so, I make an effort to shop here! It is such a great store!

Do not buy meat from here! My wife went out of town over the weekend so I went and bought marinated Bulgogi (it says Ribeye roll) paid $17.28 for 2.89 lb. When I opened the pack to cook, bottom half was completely light brown color and entire piece is filled with fat where as fat is expected to be found on the edge and where little marble line. I wish I could post picture here..... DECEIVING and CHEATED. In addition to this a large chunk of unknown meat are found in between thin layers. I have thrown these out to garbage and it is where it belong. I have called to relay my message to manager and she blames on employee and refund. That means I have to go back to mart where I dont intend to visit anymore. With remodeling looks nice but food they sell or they intend to sell has to keep up with what they try to lure customers into.

First time come to this Korean store with good clean contemporary expectation. Yes, it is neat clean well organized layout. Kind of more expensive than other similar Asian mart. We did not receive any greeting or help from any employee. Instead we were frowned upon when we ready to check out. Clerk are super rude and imply I am stupid by standing there not helping to put bags of grocery back into cart. We spent a couple $100s and did not hear anything close to thank you. She make me feel I must be a costom come there very often and make her trouble. Overall, not good experience at all.

Trying out new and traditional ingredients is always fun! They have wide variety of fruits and vegetables. Fascinating Korean snacks(Green matcha cake etc) and clean organized stacks with English titles(mostly). Also some kitchen gadgets and cute tea pot sets!

Smaller than the other H-marts and limited especially in the produce options. There are most Korean essentials though, including a wide range of kimchi (and other pickled items), snacks, seaweed, and seasonings.

Has what it is supposed to have. This will be a regular visit once in a while since there are unique Asian grocery items that I cannot get from other fresh produce stores around.

Small-ish Asian market tucked away in a strip mall. Love the bulgogi, kimchi, and snacks. Decent prices. Just wish they were open a little later some nights.
