I recently brought my laptop to them, explained that it kept shutting on and off, giving me a black screen in that process I also wanted some malware erased so ,I could use google chrome, all was supposedly fixed, 4 days later my laptop cuts off again, it is explained to me that it wasnt the original problem but that the motherboard was dead. Now I spent over $200 to get that issue fixed and it was originally always the motherboard. I cant even use the laptop anymore. the 1st thing im told by Chicago Cpu club is that they will sell me one of there laptops USED laptops or new ones at a discounted price.... $20 off new ones $50 off. I personally feel if your gonna be fair at least the price for fixing the black screen shouldve been added to the price of there laptops if you truly want to be fair because there original diagnosis wasnt accurate which cost me $$$, time and now I still have no laptop, Im not writing the review to bash the company, im writing this because I feel I was cheated out of $200 plus dollars with no way of having what I originally wanted, which was my laptop fixed... The good thing is im now typing this dislike on my new laptop.... But my suggestion is before u let someone fix your computer get 2 or 3 opinions before you settle and pay, you may be sucked in to keep coming outta pocket.... I will also say that the associate has offered to transfer all my harddrive data to my extended harddrive so its not a total lost but $230 is $230 thats almost half for another brand new laptop....

Very friendly and helpful. I went to the store in the morning before I went to work. My laptop had a black screen and some water damage on the left side of the keyboard. All my important data was inside and I really wanted to save my laptop. I bought it a year ago and I use it at work all the time. The technician first said to do a check on it first and the cost is really cheap compared to other places in my area. He called me the next day to tell me that it can be saved. They explained everything and gave me some options to choose from. The whole trip to the store was great, I was really happy that they could save my laptop at a great price! I go there sometimes for printing too.

I brought in my laptop because it kept crashing. I paid $39 for diagnostic analysis and was told it was a lot of spyware and malware crashing my computer. Despite having two security systems, I was told nothing was 100 percent. So I paid $110 more to have it fixed. They said theyd fix it and call in a few hours. Never happened. I called several times. It took the entire day for the laptop to supposedly be fixed. I took it home and it immediately started crashing. I write for a living and my laptop is vital to me. Having it gone for an entire day and then not be fixed is really a problem. I am taking it back to be fixed but it should have been repaired the first time.

This place is customer friendly, they sold me a new computer. It helps me sleep at night. When Im too tired after work. I dont have to worry about major clean ups. Although I do what I can. The home member services provided by Chicago Computer CLub gives me peace of mind so that I dont make unnecessary purchases, nor do I have to worry if my computer is safe. If Any thing goes wrong they spot the problem and have helped me live a problem free life through the internet with their remote support. where have you been all my life?

My desktop was running really loud for a very long time before I finally took it in to the store. There were too many pop ups and ads too. My friend recommended this place to me and I thought I would give it a try. The store looks very welcoming and the worker there was nice. I told them the problems and they fixed my computer on the same day. Im thinking of maybe upgrading my computer in the future too, will go back for details and ideas.

They have free dignosis promotion right now. Thats awesome since no one want to pay $60 or $70 just for "problem checking" . Techinicans there are friendly. I have my old DELL memory upgrade there, other store doesnt have parts I need since the model is so old. But this store has them. Save me big $ to buy a whole new one.

Dropped off an old hard drive to have photos transferred. They disposed of the Hard drive without even so much as a phone call to me. My photos are gone. They also hung up on me when I was asking for an explanation as to why they thought it was ok to get rid of it without calling me. Horrible!

My computer has virus problem, the tech guys fixed it in 1 days with great service and good price. I recommend to anyone who has computer problem or question, go to chicago computer club at oak park store.
