Needed a patio door installed, so many things went wrong. -Home Depot never called me with a window time of when the installers would be at my house to do the measurements. -The installers were rude and talked to me like I was stupid when I was just trying to get as much information as possible. -I had to make 3 trips out to Home Depot to build my door but they never had the measurements. -Twice after standing around in the isle in front of the door and window section for 15 minutes finally someone asked me if I needed help. -Then when they finally got the notes come to find out they wrote down Will not do. Thanks! You could have told me that before you left my house with the measurements and not let me ask all those questions and be rude to me when you werent gonna install anyway! I will take my business else were from now on.

There slogan is customers first. I walked in today carrying a baby and a 60 pound air compressor and they just looked at me and asked if i need to return it. Never did they ask to help as i was almost dropping it. I then try to exchange it and it was bought online and they would not exchange it because i didnt have the order number. Even though they sell the item. I wanted to exchange and get something more expensive. I didnt want cash back just store credit. And they wouldnt do that. They wouldnt even get a manager. They just kept saying we cant help you with that and they wont either. Good thing im a loyal customer to menards. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM HOME DEPOT.

Visited the Normal location to buy an exterior door. No store help to be found. Went to the front and the cashier said they would send someone back. I went back to doors and windows sat down and put my feet up on the desk. Waited almost 10 minutes, called the store after a couple times on hold was told they are tied up with customers. A lie of course. Spoke to the manager and all she could say was someone is supposed to be there at 8. ( It was 8:10) Went across the street to Menards and was helped immediately. Doors ordered.

Extremely helpful staff. I dont do a lot of home renovations or anything of the sort, but I was looking to do some improvements to my back balcony. The second I walked in the greeter pointed me in the direction I needed to be, then I was helped by another associate who couldnt actually leave her register so she paged someone else to assist me. I was in and out in under 30 minutes and now my balcony is looking great! I usually go to Lowes because of the locations convenience but I think I was converted to Home Depot today!

A good alternative to Lowes and Menards! It is always a plus to have three major choices with home improvement stores. All three have items which are not available at the other two stores and it is ALWAYS better to have more product choices than fewer product choices. I shop all three regularly and give them all a top rating for being here in the Twin Cities when I need to shop their inventory.

I bought some floor panels from here, got more than half case left and tried to return them. They said policy is I have to return a whole case, so even I only needed one more piece I would have to buy another CASE! That s the stupidest policy ever! I wont buy floor panel from here and wont recommend anyone to do it too! GO SOME OTHER place will let you return too much left over.

Nothing. Walked through the store 4 people said hi. One person asked if she could help me but what i want ed was at the far end of store. I spent time looking for the size of insulation i wanted. Over 15 mins at least 8 employees saw me looking but no one asked if they could help. You have a lot of work to do with customer service. At least Lowes stopped and tried to help me.

Went to pick up our flooring order at the service desk and found one young man swamped running both the service desk and a register while his female counterpart sat talking to a third employee. Not impressed. Whatever happened to, The customer comes first? I would guess that she would complain if she had to wait for her paycheck as long as I had to wait for my flooring.

First time purchase experience: Items got delayed a week without any advanced notice; had to fight to get it delivered on the second scheduled time; So, be prepared to get your items late no matter how homedepot promises you.
