DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE! DISHONEST! MISLEADING! I would also give this dealership less than 1 star if I could. I drove today 2 hours to look at an 05 Nissan Altima that was in "excellent condition," "runs and drives perfect," and had no "check engine lights on." When I called and asked for further details on the car before driving down to look at it, the son of the owner (Kevin) told me everything was great with it and no issues at all with the bodywork, interior, or anything - they even had their own mechanic check it out. So, this would be an amazing car to buy right? We went to look at it and took it to a different mechanic and they told us straight up "dont buy this car! Butch and Hack have been working on this car." There was issues with it everywhere, cracked front bumber, bubbled paint on the rear truck lid, a replaced truck lid (that was evident from the inside), cracked taillight, a large chip in the windshield, loose/hanging side mirror, a decent scratch in the drivers door, check engine light was on (an issue with the catalytic convertor), a replaced catalytic convertor that was poorly installed and didnt fit well, a missing interior door handle panel, rusted out floor panels on both the drivers and passenger side that had been badly patched with scrap metal under the carpet, and a drivers door seal that had been pried away multiple times for a hanger to unlock the door (the hanger was even still custom bent and in the trunk). When I expressed frustration with the owner about testing out a lemon, he blew it off as "well, its a used car." My extreme discontent is with the fact that I was intentionally mislead and lied to regarding the condition of this car. They clearly blew off my concerns with the vehicle and pretended that it did not have issues. This is a dishonest business and I would recommend them to no own. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! They will offer you great prices to make a sale, but are NOT TRUSTWORTHY!

Having had several years of experience in the automobile business as a sales manager at a new Ford dealership, I am very familiar with the sales process and always alert to the various "tactics" that can be used on unsuspecting consumers. Recently, when a friend asked me to help him find and purchase a first car for his daughter, my search for the right car brought me 70 miles to McHenry Auto Exchange. Concerning McHenry Auto Exchange, I must say that everything that was done and said, from the beginning as we talked on the phone, to the end when we picked up the Honda Accord on our second trip, was done honestly and professionally. If I had been disappointed in any way I would not be taking time to write this review, but principled men such as Bob and Kevin deserve to be acknowledged.

Recently bought a truck from Lee. He was great dealing with. They stayed after hours and we ended up making a deal. Only reason not 5 stars is because 100 miles off the lot, the check engine light came on. I hooked it up to a scanner and the dtc that was set takes 75 miles to set after it is reset. Knowing its a used vehicle it was expected. It seems that it was reset before with out fixing the problem so a check engine light wasnt on at point of sale. If I knew it was reset by their mechanic, I would be upset. No way to prove that though. Great people to deal with! Thank you.

Buying my Mitsubishi Montero from Kevin and Bob was buy FAR the most pleasurable car buying experience ever ,, having Driven 1.5 hours to the dealership, i was more than pleased to find my vehicle even better than described ,,The guys treated me with respect and stuck to the deal made the night before on the phone,,I would not hesitate to buy again...not your typical car salesmen,,and i mean that as a high compliment ;)
