I recently made a purchase from them. The very next morning, less than 12 hours later I called to report a problem. Firstly, nobody was in until 10:30 when they were supposed to be open at 10. I kindly asked them to provide me with a new product as what I purchased was defective. They laid it all off on Horizon Hobby. I spent $383 less than 12 hours before and asked them to simply exchange my product for one that did not have all the issues. They said they were not allowed to do that. So I called the owners son, Tom, and he layed it all off on horizon as well. This is VERY VERY bad business. I am cancelling my credit card transaction and contacting an attorney to get resolution.

Very frustrating experience. I just showed up to buy a quadcopter from you guys and the store was closed. On your sign and even your website it says you close at 8. It was 630 and there were two guys in the right section of the facility just staring at me. I called earlier asking about your inventory of the drone. If you are going to close before posted hours you should mention it. Especially after driving an hour to get there. Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

awesome rc staff, with loads of knowledge. Had a blast at their indoor dirt rc track with my slash 4x4. wanted to buy parts just cause to upgrade.. and for the first time... i was told why waste money now. wait till it breaks then spend the money. honesty, class, customer service, and a family atmosphere.... nice to see there are still places like this out there...

Helpful staff. Unfortunately they sold me a discontinued product that they have no parts for. Had an issue with the remote control truck that I bought 2 weeks ago and after three charges the motor failed. Cant blame them but still feel that selling a discontinued product deceived me. Now I dealing with the manufacturer to get it fixed correctly.

I have been with this store since they were at their old store in crystal lake plaza. I love their indoor track and I always get help with anything rc related. The workers are cool and the people that you meet at the track are great. I was able to borrow a $200 motor from someone I just meet because mine was in for warranty

It is a busy store and there is reason to that, the staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help. You can tell they love what they do. I started my interest for RC cars there and thats where I go to get my materials. Unfortunately, they do not have an On-road track.

The BEST toy store around. If you are looking for something MORE than the usual junk they sell at ToysRUs, or Target, or Wamart ... THIS IS THE PLACE!!! Need a GOOD quality kite on a windy day for a spontaneous outing with the kids? Boom ... HobbyTown ... magic made. =)

I am fairly local to this place. Its down the street from my house, so its a convenient location for me. Good selection of rcs given the amount of space but they also have an outdoor flat track and indoor/outdoor off road stunt track too.

Shawn and the whole crew at Hobbytown are awesome. Very R/C centered, indoor racetrack is great, and they are just a fantastic group. 1/10th Offroad racing Wed and Fri at 6:30!

They dont have everything but it is a surviving hobby store. It is a great start to any hobby. I wish it had better lighting though.
