This chain of stores is the biggest scam artist that will do anything to just "make the sale". They are notorious for not disclosing crucial information (prices, payment options, up front fees, etc....) that should be disclosed for a "Big Ticket" purchase. I had a horrible sales rep named Kurtis Hilton out of the Lewis Joliet Mall, Illinois location and I was baited and scammed. I work in the financial industry and asked all the "Right" questions and I was nothing but lied to by Kurtis. I first found/used this jeweler because my wife found a setting for her wedding rings that she just loved and I wanted her to get what she wanted for the rings that she will always wear and from that transaction to this one we have had nothing but problems, primarily due to them telling you one thing (to get the sale) and then try to back out of what they said and fortunately, we have always called them out on their scamming and they had no choice but to honor what they originally said. This time (the absolute last time), my wife found a ring that I couldnt find anywhere else and she fell in love with it so I tried a lease option and from the beginning, I was already getting the "run-around" from Kurtis but I asked the right questions and actually had to get him to disclose the "overall" total price of the full lease option, which he reluctantly answered and gives me an answer that was completely false. I told him to forget about the whole deal due to the actual terms and he turns around and flat out lies and made up an option that didnt even exist in the lease option but he "Got the Sale" and Due to his horrible work ethics and flat out lying, I ended up paying 158% over what he said I would pay. I asked for the paperwork on the lease option while I was in the store and he said it will be emailed to me and that they didnt have any in store (hard to believe) but that is fine, I read it the minute I got home. I called him about the option he mentioned and he assured me that the total payment would NOT be what I was reading and I had him put this in writing and he completely ignored his word and I am stuck with this horrible result. there are 100 different jewelers to use so steer clear of this place and take your business elsewhere. I will NEVER do business again with this place let alone look in their direction when I walk by.

I received a Bulova watch for Christmas this year of 2016 on Christmas day. I love the watch very much but I needed some links out to fit properly. Today on Thursday December 29th. I go to the store were it was bought from (Sears) and ask to get some links taken out but they currently didnt have anybody in at the moment that could take the links out. So my girlfriend and I go to Rodgers and Holland. They said they would do it but they no longer carry this brand so they couldnt do it. Understandable. I wanted a jewelry to do this since they have experience with this and are professional. So we go to Fred Meyers. We are greeted properly. I asked to get links taken out and the gentleman did so with easy and was very professional and kind/patient. Once it fit properly me and my girlfriend were ready to leave when the sales lady comes up and says thats $14 something. Here was the issue. We were not informed from the beginning that it would be charged to do that. So we ask does everyone charge, she tells us everyone charges the same. So we proceeded to tell her that 2 other stores would do it for free and a 3rd would do it for half the price! She then replied with, "well we charge, I can make it $12 something and everything will go to a charity. I have no issue giving to charity but I like to be informed if I have to pay for something from the very beginning before work is done! As we were done talking about it and I just paId it to be over with, the sales women turns to the male and raises her arms in frustration saying something and turns to us and just stares us down. Idk where they learned this but I wouldnt expect that from an employee at a jewelry store. Plus first time in that store. It was very uncalled for and I had half a mind to turn around demand for a refund and tell them to put it all back. But I dealt with it. Would NOT recommend getting anything from that store because they do not give you full information from the very beginning, they are only in it for the sale and extremely terrible and rude service when something doesnt go their way. Pretty terrible..

My fiance purchased my engagement ring online from Fred Meyer in August, 2014. He proposed to me in October 2014. He had picked the ring up from this location and had purchased a full lifetime warranty. However, no one decided to inform him that you have to get the ring inspected every April and October in order to keep the warranty valid. (Totally understandable). It wasnt until I just so happened to get the ring cleaned in April that the girl told me about the inspections. 1 month after the cleaning, a diamond fell out of the ring. I took it into the store to be fixed and they got it back to me within a week. I thought it was great service. Then, not 1 month later did the same diamond fall out. Frustrated, I took it in yet again to be repaired. The girl that was helping me was extremely rude and told me "well this is just going to happen". I said for $2500 this shouldnt just "happen". So they fixed the ring again and within a few days I was there to pick it up. I brought my ID with me and the same girl refused to give me my ring stating that it wasnt me in the drivers license picture. It took me 30 min to get MY RING from them.. Now this is 4 days later....SAME DIAMOND MISSING!!!! I called the manager and he told me to just bring it in again. THIS SHOULDN"T BE AN ISSUE!!! Very frustrated. WONT BUY FROM HERE AGAIN

I have had jewelery cleaned and they did a good job. So, when I got engaged I decided to have them make our wedding rings. Four months later we went in to get our rings. There was not a single thing correct on either ring. The style was not a style we picked out not even the same shape for either ring. The engraving we had put in the rings were put in the wrong rings. I have now been working for three weeks trying to get these corrected and I still have not been told they dont know when they will be done. We are now going on five months. They will not refund the money because they say it is "custom" -- but neither ring were correct. I am frustrated and I would NEVER get a ring from them again. There many many other companies that will do your order and take it seriously.I dont know if they are homophobic but it feels like that is the kind of run around I am getting.
