My first visit to Butera unfortunately put a sour taste in my mouth. Its a shame that a single employee can make a lifelong decision to avoid coming back. Putting the severely rude cashier at the front checkout lines (aka J*n) to the side, there were no other issues. Nothing outstanding nor terrible. Just mediocre. There was a decent selection at the deli counter and the fruits/vegetables I chose were fine. Being a new store with competition a couple minutes away, I would expect that everyone would be on their "A" game. Sadly, that was not the case. Perhaps a bad day, but it only takes that one instance.

I love to come here to buy produce items. They have a bigger variety and cheaper items than other grocery stores in Grayslake. Theres always something seasonal on sale. I even found purple sweet potatoes here, which I have been looking all over for. They also have a couple of good European items, but not as many as Garden Fresh.

Best I can say is they are local. Employees and acting manager friendly and helpful but hogtied. In desperate need of staffing at checkouts. Top management clearly need to wake up to consumer preferences. Pricing is only competitive with Grayslake Jewel, sad! Still need leave town for grocery shopping value. Miss the Pig :)

Butera Fresh Market in Lincolnshire is my go to place for fresh produce and international foods. Wish there is more eastern European food (Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria) here in Grayslake like in local Marianos or Garden Fresh Market. Competitive prices though. Store management should try to make more organic produce available.

Every time I go there theres one problem or another. Not enough people working behind the deli. Went there today. No numbers. My husband and I were overlooked. The customer even knew we were next. That was the last straw. Never going back there again.

You can find some great deals on fruit and vegetables, but they dont have everything we need, especially when it comes to gluten-free or organic options.

Eh.... Now we have two grocery stores with a mediocre selection of meat. Who buys a 1/4" thick filet? Ill continue to grocery shop in other towns.

There is not a butcher at this store, just a deli and prepackaged meats. This is a smaller Butera store. There is liquor, beer, wine.
