I have been going to the Fin Inn for years and have never been disappointed until NOW. My husband and I went on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy. So we waited and waited. We got a table with a waitress named Gail. Gail was very busy and told us she would be there shortly and we didnt mind. As we ordered she rushed us through. My husband finally got his salad after 25 minutes of waiting and the lettuce was old and brown. He hardly touched his salad. My husband ordered beer battered halibut and I ordered fried clam strips. As we started to eat our food we realized that it was nothing more than pre-processed frozen store bought food. The halibut tasted awful and for the price ($13.50) was nothing more than a peice of stupid fish you could buy at Walmart. My clam strips were the same ($9.00). We could of made the same damn thing at home for a lesser price and would have tasted better. The stupid waitress noticed we barely ate our meal and she blurted loudly..."Is it bad? Is it rotten?" Then she proceeded to cut the fish in half and put it up to her nose to smell. My husband was trying to be polite and said it wasnt a problem and did not want to make a scene. Needless to say SHE DID make a scene out of it. The waitress said she was sorry but scrambled off. When we got our bill she WAITED for us to sign for it and acted like we had to give her a tip for the crappy service and VERY CRAPPY processed food. Needless to say we WILL NOT be eating there ever even if they gave us FREE meals for LIFE.

Went there today. The idea of the fish tanks is pretty cool, but not very well done. These fish are way, WAY too big for such small tank space. The rocks built into the tanks are sharp and many of the fish had wounds from scraping up against the sides. Their main entrance is not handicap accessible. They have a side entrance with NO parking nearby on a VERY steep incline that is handicapped accessible....but the door is kept locked! Another patron sitting near the door had to open it for us! We walked in and were seated almost immediately by the busboy but then waited for service from our server for roughly 15 minutes. It took another 30 minutes for the food to come out. I ordered a $10 grilled cheese with fries, which on the menu is described as "grilled cheese on Texas toast". I assumed it might have something more than processed American cheese....I was wrong. I couldnt hold in my disappointment for the cruelty towards the animals, and may have been a little too loud, because it seems that the server treated me differently, although I never directly said anything to her or any of the staff. I really wanted to like this place, but they just kept letting me down.

The food is alright, not that great though, comparable to Long John Silvers. The only reason to patronize this establishment is the aquariums, which I actually find kind of creepy. It would be like sitting in a field with cows grazing in a field next to your table as you eat a freshly cooked steak. Of the 5 times I have been to the Fin Inn (taken family and friends who really wanted to try this place), the service is fairly decent, but seems less than what youd get at a Long John Silvers. Most of the staff seem to be annoyed if you want service beyond your initial beverage, ordering and service of your food and the issuance of your check. One waitress I had was pretty decent, but not enough to tip the balance of what my usual experiences at this place have been. For what you pay in comparison to what you get, if you are really craving fish, O Jans Fish Stand is a much better option. Yeah, you have to order at the window, seat yourself and grab your food when its ready, but it costs less and leaves you not stressed from servers who care more about their tips than their customer service skills.

Amazing Fun Restaurant!!! We were visiting my aunt in Missouri and drove over to The Fin Inn and knew we had to find it and try it for ourselves! We were not at all disappointed! We were promptly greeted, seated and our order was taken and promptly delivered. The waitress described many of the types of fish that were available, even turtle soup. It was fun to watch the giant fish watch us through their enclosed tank at the end of the table. They seemed to be smiling at us. Our food was wonderful! The hushpuppies were so good that we ordered another order of them! The apple sauce has a few secret ingredients in it that make me want to go back for more now. The tilapia, catfish, hushpuppies, everything was we had was outstanding! I wish we wouldnt have been so full because their desserts sounded incredibly good. If you are in Grafton, I highly recommend the Fin Inn! You wont be disappointed! We live in Oklahoma and havent had anything near this great around our area. The Fin Inn has great food, great and personable servers!

Food was pretty good (I loved the buffalo and catfish) and waitress Sharon was great! But I have to say the atmosphere specifically the fish/turtles in the tanks was extremely depressing and absolutely inhumane! The fish were way too big for the size tanks and showed all the signs of distress including bloody, ripped apart tails. The tanks had no rocks or plants (real or fake). There were two giant turtles which were in tanks barely twice the length of their body. I dont understand how a restaurant named the Finn Inn and whose main attraction is fish tanks can blatantly neglect the fish which attract people to the restaurant in the first place. They could enhance the fish tanks and fill them with colorful, appropriate size fish and would make a dramatic difference.

i came here as a child over 20 years ago... the nostalgia is still there! Seriously the same 2 turtles and most of the same fish are still there so That must say something about the care they put into the tanks regardless of other comments.(I bet you feel that way at zoos as well if you think treatment is bad because it is not). Renee was amazing and I felt right at home. She is absolutely wonderful and has a kind heart and soft soul. I dont right reviews often but was compelled to today. The experience and atmosphere of this place is unlike anywhere in the Midwest and I promise you will never forget it... the food is fine, the staff is great, and I will definitely go back after hiking at pere Marquette. Hopefully whoever buys it will keep it just as is!

Four of us stopped here for dinner our first night in Grafton. Two of us had the Alaskan Whitefish dinner, and it was absolutely outstanding. Breading on the fish was just right, & the baked potato and green beans were excellent. The other two, were less impressed. The catfish was a little on the rubbery side, and the chicken fried steak was so-so. Then again, who orders chicken at a seafood place right?! Neat atmosphere if you have little ones with you, as your tables are right next to fish tanks. The wives were a bit concerned for the well-being of the fish and (absolutely gigantic) turtles in the aquariums, but we also didnt take it upon ourselves to ask the staff about them. So I cant comment on that. All-in-all great food for the price.
