Cool toys... but wouldnt go to the Lombard or Deer Park stores again!!! I love shopping at small stores such as this, but was very disappointed in the owners attitude. Like a previous reviewer, I too purchased the Living Social voucher and when I went to the Lombard store to use it for a Christmas gift, the owner commented on how little money they make on it. It was a turn off, but at least I felt like I was getting a pretty good deal so I ignored him. I then found the product to be unsatifactory and upon trying to return it the owner again gave me a hard time because the item had all ready been opened. How are we to know the product is poorly manufactured and cheap quality if we dont open it? He repeated several times that he would have to take a loss on it if he allowed me to return it since he couldnt resell it as an opened item. Its clear that profit margin is this guys only concern and he doesnt take the customers happiness into consideration. I would highly recommend these types of stores.. but would stay away from any that he owns. I did reach out to corporate and they handled the situation very professionally and timely and am thankful to see they still believe in the value of customer happiness. Happy shopping!

Very bad experience today - rude and difficult with a return. When my daughter received several puzzles from her Grandfather as an early Christmas gift, we decided to return the unopened $20 puzzle that we purchased form Brilliant Sky. They refused to allow my wife to return it because her AMEX card has her name on it and I was the one who originally purchased it with my card (it is a joint account.) She asked if there was any way we could avoid having me come in and they told her that it would be "fraud" to do it any other way. She gave up and let our two little ones look around the store. The two women behind the counter began to speak loudly about her and laughingly mocked her attempts to return the item. When she let them know she didnt appreciate their comments, she asked for a manager and was informed that one of the women was the OWNER! I fully understand that a small business may not have the systems that large retailers do to make returns simple and easy, but I do not understand the owner and employees of a small business being rude and reveling in the difficulty they cause a customer. We will not be shopping at Brilliant Sky again.

Good merchandise, bad attitude. I recently saw a great deal for this store on Living Social ($15 for a $30 credit). I knew they had an item I wanted to buy, so I jumped on it. Today, when I purchased the item (at the Lombard location) and presented the voucher, the person who checked me out immediately started complaining about how they were losing money on every transaction since everyone just comes in and spends the minimum required to use the voucher. I dont know if he was trying to guilt me into purchasing more merchandise or if he was just looking for a sympathetic ear. Either way, its not my fault they apparently regret offering this deal, and why should a customer feel bad about taking a deal they are voluntarily offering? If its such a bad deal for the store and theyre losing money because of it, they shouldnt have offered it! After this experience, I will NEVER shop there again.

Its the anti-Toys R Us with tons of quality, mostly stimulating toys for all ages. From what I gather, its literally a mom-and-pop store w/ their family operating it, and theyre always able to offer helpful ideas for gifts. Also, (and this is one of the biggest reasons I go) if its not too busy, theyll wrap your purchase for you! They have a customer loyalty program, their prices are very reasonable, and its a really nice shopping experience w/ lots of stuff for kids to play with while youre shopping. I wrote the same review for both this and the Lombard location, as I frequent both.

This toy store is FANTASTIC!!! it has a ton of great toys, books, and games, The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to picking out the right gifts.This is the main reason that I love to shop here. They also have a great customer rewards program and free gift wrapping!

we went to go to Monday activity but they were all out of putty. but she could have opened one of the boxs of putty she had. but they still have good stuff for kids.

Great store, competitive prices. FREE gift wrap is a bonus on the way to the party! Staff knows their toys. Fun play areas for kids.
