Went to store in Leawood to buy a scooter. Decided on the Maxi Micro scooter and was told price was 149. I knew from prior research that that price was high. Went to the official US distributors website, Micro Kickboard, as the scooter is actually made by a Swiss company on my phone; showed the salesperson that the full price is listed at 129.99 with free shipping. Salesperson stuck to the 149, think she was the manager. They were also overcharging on the Mini Micro scooter too. Looked at The Learning Trees own website when I got home and there own website lists the Maxi Micro price as 134.99.(still overpriced but better) I am not asking nor expect the store to price match but to charge 15% more than msrp is not how a business earns my business. I would have been happy to buy it for 129.99; you just lost sale as I bought it elsewhere for 129.99.

The staff at Learning Tree really went above and beyond to give me great service today. When a particular toy I wanted was out of stock at their store, they called around until they found the toy at another local toy store. I was amazed they went out of their way to find the toy for me, even though it meant referring me to another toy store. Whenever I visit, the staff is always friendly and courteous. Even when the store is busy, they still make sure to ask if I need any help. They have a good variety of toys and I always find something new and interesting that would make a great gift for a child. Their prices are not the rock-bottom prices you find on Amazon, but Im okay with paying a couple bucks more to support a local business with such great service. I will be coming back.
