Discovered this place a year ago, absolutely loved it. Bought a glass piece on July 3rd, within 2 uses (less than 2 weeks later) and never being dropped, bumped or submitted to thermal shock it starts this nasty spiderweb crack at the base. Called about a warranty that same day and found out they offer zero customer service. Ive owned an obscene amount of glass over the years and never had an issue like this. I baby my pieces as I see them as part of a collection, not just smoke devices. The piece was $150 and while not insanely expensive its my hard earned money that was wasted. Spoke to a manager yesterday who was a total jerk, did nothing but talk over me and kept repeating the same crap about how no pipe shops offer replacements, discounts or refunds; I myself know of at least 8 that do. He literally said he doesnt care whether or not Im a good customer or how much Ive spent, he wont make an exception to replace the piece. It wasnt until after I explained my boyfriend and I were each planning on putting two $1200 pieces (light saber bong and metallic green glycerin bong on the back wall) on layaway that he offered to MAYBE give me a discount if I could bring him pictures of the damage, but no promises. Needless to say, Ive shopped elsewhere and a lovely online retailer just got $850 off me because they offered to reblow the bottom of this piece free of charge if I purchased another piece. That cash should have gone to you, Rocky Mudds. To show my gratitude, I spent big on a beautiful ethereal piece that comes with a 90 day guarantee that covers damage and satisfaction. Their only requirement was to spend $200, I significantly exceeded that in the name of fantastic customer service. While I really loved Rocky Mudds and all that they offer (great sage and incense) we cant shop somewhere that doesnt stand by their products in no way. Whats unfortunate is that I would have accepted the discount had it been offered initially, but because it wasnt offered until I said Id shop elsewhere for $2400 worth of glass, I want nothing to do with the place. I shouldnt have to threaten my future support of your company to get respect as a customer. The man actually told me dozens of people come in daily to get glass replaced? Really?! Ive spent hours in the store with my boyfriend and every time weve gone the employees outnumber the customers. Odds are if this many people come in daily to replace glass youre either A) a complete liar exaggerating details to make a point or B) a smoke shop that sells subpar glass...either way, its not worth a trip to Crest Hill.

I never write reviews, but felt compelled to after repeatedly bizarre service at Rocky Mudds. Id like to start off by saying that the employees make me feel extremely uncomfortable while shopping. They follow you around and watch you like a hawk everywhere you go. Ive spent a lot of money here over the years, and every time I go, they make me feel like I am fixing to steal something. I had one employee nearly run across the shop to stand by me (like RIGHT next to me) while I was looking at flourite crystals. This is by far the worst part of this shop, and one that makes me not want to come back. Its obnoxious and disrespectful to the loyal customer base that spends their hard earned money at your shop. While they do have a variety of interesting items that arent often found elsewhere, they shop is quite messy and chaotic. Most of their stone jewelry is scattered throughout the store and its pretty disorganized. The owner seemed like he didnt really know where anything was, just kind of aimlessly walked around when I was looking for a specific type of candle holder. Maybe if you organized your store, you wouldnt have to follow people around so much?! Ive also found that they are really overpriced and sometimes throw prices out without rhyme or reason. I went into the new crystal shop, which had a lot of cool items, but many were not marked. The employee was throwing out random prices and trying to convince me that "People jump on stuff like that". I mean, I dont mind splurging a bit on a stone I really want, but I think the prices should be marked, so the customer knows they are paying a fair price for the piece. Not just a random number decided at that moment. One last thing, their male employees are pretty creepy. Always touching your shoulders and standing too close. My sister had one of the employees come up to "examine" a stone, and stood so close to her his belly was on her arm. Get it together, guys. Youre shop is pretty cute and all, but if you dont stop with the crazed customer stalking, youll lose a lot of customers.

chick owner was rude, not as bad as the headventure dude across the street though. I bought a hookah there and priced the same one online for $90 cheaper but rocky mudds has a no return policy. damn! I tried to take a picture of a sweet hookah they had in there so I could send the pic to my gf and if she liked it I was going to buy it but the owner chick said no pictures. Most likely so you could walk up into the front of the store, go online with your phone and price the same one for $100-$200 less and call them out on it. That would make them feel stupid and they cant have that. No pictures or youre kicked out she said. I got my same hookah I bought there for $169.99 online for $80 and rocky mudds hookahs came with nothing else and the one online came with tobacco, coals, cleaning stuff, stickers, coupons off my next purchase, and a really nice carrying case for it for almost $100 cheaper! Even though the owner was rude, and looked like she ate too much molly on the weekend, I would still put it in her cause of that fat booty she has! ;)

In one short word... RUDE! This shop does not accept returns, exchanges of any kind. Upon discovering this policy, I was told in a very harsh manner by the store manager that it was store policy...she made me feel like I was an idiot, which I clearly am not! To be fair, this policy is posted on the front window of the establishment, however the 8x10 signage is affixed to the front window at about the knee level (2-3 feet off the ground). I dont know about anyone else, but I dont look at any sign unless it is at eye level or higher, with the exception of a sign at or around the doors handle. I will never shop at this store again and I suggest that all other consumers do the same. Whenever I need an item that this shop provides, I will go ACROSS THE STREET TO THE STORE HEADVENTURES (just like Mudds but nicer people..cheaper too!), where customer service is obviously important to the owner. Shame on the owner and the store manager of Rocky Mudds. Your reputation has taken a huge hit today and I intend to tell people about it!

They always have interesting things and friendly staff. They remember you even if you have not been there in a year. They also know their products well and are always willing to pull things out of cases to let you have a closer look or to demonstrate how something works. If you are trying to have a bad day, stay away or they might cheer you up. Only down side is that a lot of items are one of a kind so if you want something and dont buy it or put it on lay-away you will have to live the rest of your life knowing that someome else is enjoying life with the thing you said you would get next time. If you want something, put it on lay-away otherwise those pesky other customers will buy it.
