Such a valuable neighborhood resource. Klein True Value may be small, but it has so many of the basic hardware items one would need, especially in a pinch. The staff is so friendly and helpful that they will work hard to find a solution to your hardware problem with what they have on-hand, but Ive also had a few occasions where theyve referred me to other places that may have what I need if they dont have it. I will gladly pay a bit more to come here and get the right item and advice rather than rely on a big box store.

I agree with Will Petrovic: it feels like a neighborhood hardware store should feel. We moved in to an apartment in a very old building just around the corner and had to do some minor stuff. We visited Tru Value a few times (because its less than a five minute walk) and every time someone is ready to help. You can tell them what youre looking for or what you need, and theyll help you find a solution, not just point you to a section of the store. Great to have nearby.

I stopped in on a Monday to purchase a grill. They were extraordinarily helpful and knowledgeable. I bought the grill which they were able to assemble and deliver the next day. The guys that delivered the grill were prompt and courteous. I will be back for all of my hardware needs.
