My wife and I absolutely love this place. Dave, Tony, Mike, all of the people that work here are great. Theres almost always someone waiting right inside the door as you walk in to ask you if you need a hand finding anything or with a specific project. The entire staff is incredibly knowledgeable about everything from painting to lighting fixtures to pretty much anything that you could need a hand with. One of the most obvious items that comes to mind is that we needed our locks rekeyed when we moved in. We were at Home Depot picking up some plants and I asked if they could rekey our locks for us. The woman running the key station looked at me with an amazed face and said You can rekey locks!?!?! The team here rekeyed our locks in minutes. On top of this they are so nice they even helped my wife carry multiple items from the store back to our place when I was out of town! The prices are very comparable to Home Depot too, so you wont feel like you are getting fleeced. I would 100% recommend this place for any of your needs. If they cant help you theyll point you to someone who can.

This is my neighborhood hardware store. Everytime I am in there I am impressed. I would describe this as a hardware boutique store as you always have a sales person with you searching for items on your list. It is always courteous and efficient. I was in there yesterday looking for baby proofing items and they even suggestion a safety item that I was not aware of. And I have a personal project that I need help with so he gave me the name and contact information of 3 people to call. On another visit I purchased 2 gallons of paint and the salesperson walked the two blocks to my home with me so I didnt have to struggle with carrying it! AND on another visit I had used some oil based paint for a project which promptly ended up on my arms and legs. They let me use the solution to remove it in the store instead of making me purchase a separate bottle of it. five stars for Tenenbaum

I have only been here twice - once to buy a box cutter, once to buy a metal snake for a clogged drain - but both times the staff were incredibly helpful & friendly, always happy to go above & beyond by, say, putting the box cutter together for me or explaining in detail how to go about unclogging my drain (as a twentysomething who had recently moved into my own place & was unaccustomed to doing my own household projects, the lack of condescension & eagerness to help were very much appreciated). They also made copies of my keys for my roommate last year when he lost his and I had them back well within an hour. All in all definitely recommend!

The guys in the back are OK, but "Pam," the woman who runs the register, never wants to take my credit or debit card when I go in there. I dont carry cash, but she always finds an excuse why she cant accept my card, and when she does, she makes it sound like shes doing me a big favor. I always try to support neighborhood businesses, but how can I support a place that wont accept my money? Im giving up on Tenenbaums, and going to Home Depot from now on.

Great experience every time - an old school hardware store where you walk in and are greeted immediately by helpful staff. So much easier than a big box store and spending hours looking for small stuff. These guys know their products and are ready to advise. No more looking for a staff member in some silly vest who cant help you anyway. Stickers and lollipops for the kids and everyone is happy.

Best neighborhood hardware store you can find. Not only do they have an outstanding selection, the employees are extremely helpful. They always go out of their way to help me find what Im looking for and recommend the right product. Anytime I need something for home repairs, Id much prefer to go here over Home Depot.

Rude, not helpful people work here. Brought in my vacuum to match a plug. " Nope, we dont have it." After looking for myself for 3 minutes I found the plug. Asked them if I could use a screw driver to put it on. "Nope, we dont have one." There was one sitting behind the counter. Gross!

Whenever I have questions Tenenbaum always has someone there to answer them. They have a very knowledgeable staff and their products are priced very competitively. Nothing beats a local business that puts the customer first like Tenenbaum.

Guy helped me pick out a good drill and bit, and the cashier lady directed me to a place where I could find the other stuff I needed. Good service and if I ever need anything else I will be shopping there from now on.

Always friendly and fast service to help you find what you need. Some things may be more expensive than Home Depot or Menards (paint and other things that bigger stores get in bulk), but otherwise the prices are fair.

Very helpful staff with a good selection of everyday hardware stuff. Not the place to buy a new zero-turn but for anything from moving to fixing things around the house, these guys are a great resource.

I needed some PVC pipe cut, and some PVC joints, and the guys working there were very quick and helpful. I will be going there to pick out some paint colors for my apartment :)

Bad customer service. They dont care about individual customers. They prefer to deal with tradespeople. Home Depot has better customer service. Hard to believe!
