I dont want to give even one star to this store. I bought a frying pan yesterday, cooked some fish once, and guess what? This pan turned red. Wish I could show you how bad it is right now but anyways. I called them up and they said I should have read the instructions on the back of the package. It says I should put 2 TS of oil in to the pan and heat it for 10 min and rub it with paper towel, and basically do this stupid seemingly meaningless process for 4 times. Ok, maybe it is partly my fault for not reading those small instructions. (Good for those of you who pay attention to small details but I happened not to read them) But I think they could have explained that very cumbersome annoying process before I bought it. Also when I asked them to explain the process, I mean even this lady did not seem to understand the process either so I had to wait on the phone for 10 min and after all I figured out I could not get a refund at all. What I am saying is this: you should NOT be selling products that you do not have any clue! You dont even understand how to use this frying pan and you are just selling it to customers? NICEEE I am never going to buy a single product from here, not even batteries.

Everything you could want in a hardware store, centrally-located in the neighborhood, with a helpful staff, who know their goods. Check your bag at the door and wander about finding multiple kinds of hardware, often unexpected. Batteries, glues, keys, lightbulbs, paints, pots, soil, tools, and various devices. Generous hours, too.

The Ace Hardware in Hyde Park is everything I expect it to be - large enough, but not so big I get lost; helpful employees; good location with ample parking nearby for larger hauls. I was also pleasantly surprised to get a complimentary bag of fresh popcorn last time I visited!

Actually, there definitely is a hardware store there. It is not huge, but Im yet to go looking for anything I cant find. The employees have been friendly, helpful,and numerous the times I have been in. Prices, Id say, on the high end of reasonable.

Everything is locked up, I understand why, but it makes it quite difficult when the customer service is awful, it is hard enough finding someone, but other than the locksmith who is great, the staff are not knowledgeable and generally unhelpful.

I like this store. Yes, for obvious reasons "everything" is locked up but they have something of everything. I needed a radiator key and they had plenty. I found the workers to be very helpful.

We have been coming here once a while and can usually find what we need, small items for home repair and work. The store staff is usually helpful in finding the things we need.
