I came here to upgrade my desktop tower to the year 2013. I wanted a new cpu for my tower and had no idea where to go. I looked online, saw various reviews, the shop was relatively nearby and looked promising. I said to myself "Why, not just try it out and see whats there." As soon as I came in, I was greeted by Justin. He was very easy to talk to, down to earth and just the right person for the job :) We ended up actually talking for a good 10-15mins and realized that I would also need a new motherboard as well. At first I was a bit crushed, but he was very knowledgeable and suggested to give him a day to find the parts. Within 2 hours he PERSONALLY called me THEN texted me and told me what mobo/cpu i could get for the price range I was looking for. This kind of communication with your customers is so important to me. If you were to go to a store like Best Buy... you wouldnt find this level of communication or customer service. Anyways we order the parts and wait for a call for when the parts are in. Parts came into the shop about 3 days later and he called me. He tells me to bring over my computer and he would start to work on it. I drive as fast as I can to Computer Prodigies. Justin tells me he can fix the computer by the end of the night if all goes well. Just from that statement my jaw dropped. Anywhere else you wont get same day service. So I dropped off the computer at 1pm and get a call back at 6:30pm!!! I was so amazed at how fast it took to put everything together ( Fresh OS install, CPU, MOBO, GPU, drivers and Fans up and running ) His prices for everything were also 1/3 of the cost for what Best Buy was charging me AND they said it would take 10-14 days to complete the work. I HIGHLY recommend coming here for your computer needs and repair. He fixes laptops as well. Side note : When I came in I noticed a few boxes of food. Apparently this shop likes to give back to the community as well with food drives/donations. I donated a bag of food from my pantry and left feeling good :) Its very nice to see a shop of any kind with this type of etiquette and customer service.

Justin and the staff @ Computer Prodigies are what a repair business should be on all fronts! From a friendly welcome at the door to a comprehensive diagnosis of your problem and a timely estimate and repair. No matter what the extent of your problem, Justin and his team will find it and offer you a solution at a price better than any competitors. If an upgrade is available-it is offered. No hard selling- no haggling. I have used CP for all my computer repair needs. Justin performed an impossible data recovery for me and on another occasion was able to diagnose a start up problem with my Windows and recover my data without loss!!! There just is not another company out there that offers what Computer Prodigies does-personalized speedy repair service at reasonable prices. If other businesses used this model they would have customers beating down the door! As I write this my laptop is back @ CP for a broken power jack-I did not hesitate to drop it off when they opened the door this morning-do yourself a favor and take all your computer/tablet/cellphone troubles to Computer Prodigies-youll be glad you did!

To sum it up, the services are FAST, DEPENDABLE and VERY AFFORDABLE. I went to Justin, to repair my laptop DC jack, but the business offers so much more. Justin has a no-nonsense approach to service and pulls no punches or surprises. He reminds me of that "old tyme business approach"-- thats built on integrity, knowledgeable and expedient service, good communication, fair pricing and building a rapport with the customer, rather than trying to get over on them. He typifies establishing long-term relationships, over fast, ill-gotten gains; Building Loyalty through Honesty, as the company motto says. Im glad he has a central South side location, but its WELL WORTH the travel, from wherever you are. Youll regret going anywhere else. So do yourself a favor-- Dont regret!! Just go here!!

i walked in with toshiba laptop dat crashed i spoke wit justin he listend to my needs and was very quick to resove my cocerns...within 2 days at very reasonanble price ...this guy is very proactive and came across honest and gave me options on how tu resolve my issue with integrity....this is very hard to find in chicaho with d many scisters out dar....and gave me gaurantee tu switch to other senario if i wasnt satisfied..within 30 days....very proffessionl shop..5 stars all d way...go here first is my strong opinion..no charge until ur happpy wit his sharp observation......this guy gonna be big if he sticks wit his.bussines model....just sayin.........

Best repair shop I have been to, so far. The location is not super central but its worth the haul. It took me 2 minutes to explain what was the problem (broken Iphone charging port and fading battery) and they fixed it within the hour, giving me enough time for lunch and some shopping. It felt nice walking around without phone, for a change ;). After that I picked up the phone and paid a fair price, and they even give a 6 months warranty for the repair. The guys are really efficient and dont waste your (or their) time at all. Well done guys!

One of the best Businesses Ive ever dealt with, I had a problem with my PC that nobody else was able to fix for me, until i found Computer Prodigies. These guys were true pros, they clearly knew what they were talking about. They went above and beyond trying everything to figure out the issue, and just a day later they got my desktop running. They were even nice enough to fix up some of the wiring in my case and gave me few programs to help keep my PC running smooth. I will definitely be returning for any repairs or upgrades.

For those who have issues with their electronics/software, Computer Prodigies is the place to go. No questions asked. I had issues with my DJ software/hardware, which prevented me from mixing my music. I decided to trust this business to take care of the issue. Justin is the person who helped me solve the issue, he was extremely generous & he fixed it in one business day. I was so happy to get my laptop back. Justin is the man! He wants others to succeed, too, which is why his business deserves 5 stars.

this place is amazing they fixed my Samsung galaxy s4 active. they gave me a low price very affordable some other place charge so much but they were great and they fixed my phone within 2 days which is really fast compared with other places that make you wake a few weeks. and they communicated with me at a steady pace with updates to let me know the status of the repair which was also great. so overall computer prodigies is the place to go for any electronic repars with low prices and fast repair!!

These guys are FANTASTIC! I had purchased a new laptop for my dj biz & lost my patience with tweeking out Windows 10. Brought it to the folks at Computer Prodigies. Was greeted with a smile & a handshake. Explained what I wanted & why. Was told "not a problem & it would probably be ready tomorrow". Guess what? IT WAS! They did exactly what I wanted & my new laptop is running smoothly. I am REALLY happy & plan on bringing them my original dj laptop that has been a little wonky. THANK YOU guys!
