My son needed a new cub scout belt for an upcoming ceremony, and our local scout shop was completely sold out. I shopped online, fearing that I would never be able to have it shipped here on time, without taking out a second mortgage to pay for for it. But here I am, just 4 days after ordering, with a brand new belt for him to wear. I will be ordering all of our scout supplies from Chicagoland Toys from now on. They sent me an email every time there was a change in my order status, as well as a shipping email which included a tracking number. Id like to add, not only did they ship less than 8 hours after I placed my order, but I emailed them a question regarding shipping, and they responded IMMEDIATELY. Thank you ChicagoLand Toys, if I could rate you MORE than 5 stars, I would!

I ordered a selection of Lionel track from Chicagoland online. I order three circles of different radius O27 Lionel track. I received my order and the order was complete. The only issue I had was that the Large radius track (54") was NOT LIONEL. It was K-Line. I emailed them twice and got no response. I submitted a review of the item stating was I have stated above and they have not approved the review. I do not have an issue with the K-line track, but it is NOT what was listed or what I bought. I paid for LIONEL and got K-Line. So beware when ordering. I have not asked them to replace the track with Lionel, but they seem to have ignored the issue.

The main reason why I gave the store two stars is the customer service. Dont get me wrong, the store has a wide variety of models and supplies but they are a little overpriced. However, the customer support is absolutely disappointing. Right as I walk in the store, I dont get a Goodmorning or maybe even a Hello, no I just get What do you need?. Also I understand that you are running a business and working, but lighten up.

Great customer service and help. Mike there I a great help and always willing to talk to you. I have no problem supporting my local hobby shop when its people like them. From beginner ,which I was when I started shopping there, to expert they will take the time to really help you out.

If youre a military modeler (Im not talking aircraft or ships) dont bother. They dont carry Armored fighting vehicles of any type. Its a shame. They couldve told me on the phone before I traveled over an hour on public transportation to get there.

Place is awesome. Good selection of models, trains and r/c cars. If you want to start the little ones in models this is the place to go. And has all the supplies you need to finish that crafting project. Oh and there are Boy Scout supplies.

I really love the trains over there, it is like a train wonderland!!! Also they have lots of model trains, cars, planes and even star wars stuff too. Plus the vending machines are crazy cheap, about 55 cents for a full snickerbar!!!

Very friendly knowledgeable people, competitive pricing. They sell previously owned train merchandise as well as new stuff. Good inventory, I will return again. The internet is killing our local stores lets support them if we can.

Awesome place, owner is a really good guy. Nice variety of RC cars and planes. Great variety of drone toys. Stop by and get your kid something to build and glue together. Not many hobby shops left in Chicago area, support them.
