So, you would think you could walk a block away from your car, after being a patron of an establishment, and come back to it still in its parking place. We thought our car was stolen! But nooo. It was towed by the place we just gave our money to!!! Called and it said Alba towing service. Turns out it is actually LINCOLN TOWING. Google them.. they had 3,000 complaints last year and almost had their towing rights revoked. Makes me think they are actually acting under This ALBA as a front to keep scamming people out of money. I will be reporting this, hopefully this one will be shut down too. Shame on your stores, I have shopped from you many times but will never do so again.

Your average old, hole-in-the-wall Asian grocer. Whats nice is that they have a wholesale area against the left side of the wall, which is great for parties (5lb can of oyster sauce, anyone?). I used to work for a restaurant & wed sometimes also get other items wholesale from here too, so ask if youre buying something in bulk. The produce section & a few aisles are a bit skimpy/empty, adding to the super-old feel. But hey, they have a nice & big (free) parking lot, compared to other Asian markets in the Uptown area.

This is my place to go for all my Asian groceries. Often times Ill walk to the register with all the ingredients for a whole meal for about 4 people and I cant use my credit card because I havent yet reached the minimum ($5). What I mean is I get a lot of food for cheap here! The deli looks a little...low quality...but I havent gotten sick from any of the beef, pork, or shrimp I bought there.

Expired goods and rat droppings. I tolerated the fact that a substantial fraction of the goods on the shelves have long passed their expiration dates by checking the dates carefully. But the rat droppings, ... The market is going down the toilet for a while now. Will not go back there any more. Delete review

Supermarket on Broadway is decent. It has all the necessary ingredients to make the staple Vietnamese foods. However, it does appear rundown even for a weekend afternoon. Usually, grocery stores like HMart are quite busy during the weekends. My word of advice when visiting - keep expectations low!

This is one of my favorite Asian supermarkets in the Chicago area. It has usually everything I need (mostly in the sauce aisle) and the cashier woman is pretty nice. Sure, its no H-Mart or, really, any other Chinese supermarket in NYC, but Id rather come here than make the trek to Chinatown.

This is another place I have to go every time I come to Chicago, the layer cake and caramel wafers are just amazing. I love just walking between the aisles and watching the curious Asian objects they sell. Its like visiting China and Vietnam in an hour!

SCAMMER ALERT!!! While youre shopping here your car is getting towed by a scam tow company called LINCOLN TOWING. Youll walk 2 blocks and pay $220 and wait an hour before you get your car. The shop is in on this 3rd world level scam.

Big selection of inexpensive produce. Reasonable prices on vegan specialty foods. They had vegan fish filets, wings, shrimps. Decent quality of produce. A big selection of both canned and dry stocked and frozen goods.

Love this place. Has a great selection of Asian goods in bulk and regular sizes. Great selection of vegetables, teas, seafood, pot stickers, rice, noodles, you name it, its there. Their prices are very reasonable.
