Went in their store a few times to buy a 12 pack of Michelob. One Saturday I went into buy another 12 pack of Michelob and noticed on Monday morning that instead of charging me for one 12 pack of Michelob, they charged me for two. A simple mistake I thought so I went down to the store to tell them they made a mistake. The lady, I think one of the owners, explained to me that she would have to check her inventory to see if in fact that is what happened. A little surprising to me in light of the fact I was and would have been a good customer and to lose me over $ 12.66 was a bit strange to me. She stated she would check into it and call me by 3 pm that afternoon. Well, she never called me like she said she would. I am a CPA and am quite busy this time of the year, so I stopped in a few days later to speak with her about the situation. I asked her why she did not call me like she said she would and first she said she called and then said she didnt call because her inventory was correct. I said thats impossible, because I bought one 12 pack, not 2, but got charged for 2. She asked me if I really wanted my money back, I said, it is not a matter of what I want, it is what is right and wrong. After a few words between us, I told her to keep the $ 12.66 as that would buy her a lot of bad press that she earned in my eyes. So now it is principle, and I will tell everyone do not go in there as they are not respectable business people and over charge their customers. Caveat emptor when it comes to the G and P Package Store on Park Hill Drive in Gainesville, GA.

GREAT SERVICE. ALWAYS FRIENDLY. I find their liquor and beer selection much more diverse than the average package store with better microbrew and specialty liquor selections. Glad to have them here!! As an aside, I personally never make a purchase without estimating the final bill (and Im not even a CPA). Ive never had a problem with their honesty and will continue to frequent their place of business.

My favorite package store in Gainesville. Ive compared prices to local stores and G & P always have the lowest. Selection is an A+. Clean good looking store compared to others. Never had any problems here.
