I was referred to Sheldon7x from a very good friend of mine to do my 50th birthday party which was a tattoo party at my home. It was going to be a small group with only 4-5 people getting tattoos. I discussed in detail what I wanted and we were on the same page (or so I thought). I couldnt get any drawings until I paid the deposit. I felt a little harassed for the deposit and I paid it in two installments wiithin a weeks time. After he received the deposit we spoke about my drawing and he even spoke with a couple of the other people getting tattoos. I thought we were all set. Sheldon was suppose to show up at my house on August 21st after 6. He stated that he had to work from 1-6. We were all cool with that. He assured us that he could get all of the tattoos done. My tattoo was the most extravagant and the others were simple and very basic. The day before the party Sheldon texted that he had a problem and that he had a meeting after work and I felt like he was trying to cancel. We agreed that he could come at 8 instead of 6. I also asked to see my drawing, which I hadnt seen yet. He kept saying that he would have it that evening. When he sent the drawing it was a little underwhelming and he stated that it would have color and it would be great. The next day we were all excited and ready for some tattooing. At 5:06 I get a voicemail from Sheldon asking me to call him. I knew we were headed for some BS at this time. When I called he proceeded to tell me that he is sending my deposit back and cancelling without any explanation. After stating that he is sending the deposit back several times I kept asking why he was cancelling. He then tells me that he didnt feel it in his soul with everything going on in his life right now and he didnt want it to affect the tattoos.

I come here all the time, my artist/homie Seven does all my tattoos. He is definitely great at what he does and we def mesh well. Honestly thats the whole feel of the shop. Everyone is welcoming, inviting, and true at their crafts. But the best thing is that every artist has their own aesthetic and they all work with your budgets but still give you a fire (outstanding) tattoo. I recommend the shop to all my friends and anyone who asks about my tattoos. And this place is amazing and highly recommended if you are a person of color (any shade) who wants bright and vivid colors. A1!

Black Owl truly made my birthday the best ever! I have always wanted a tattoo but was afraid. I finally got up the nerve to get it this year but I was still super anxious when it came time to actually do it. Marco calmed my nerves and reassured me that everything would be ok and he honestly gave me the best tattoo I could have imagined! The environment was also clean and calming, and they gave detailed instructions of what to expect after the tattoo, which was helpful for me as a first timer. I have already recommended this place to others!

The shop has cool vibes but the woman who did what should have been a simple cross tattoo did a terrible job. Im having it laser removed asap. ***Contacting the artist does nothing for me...I live 500 miles away. Im glad I can write an honest review about my experience with your business. As humans, we cant always be perfect, and reviews wont always be positive.

I have not been at this tattoo shop yet but I seriously will because Marcos has done work on me at a previous shop and I would not go to anyone else now lol Im so glad I found where he is :p He is not just good with his art but he makes you feel good about getting a tattoo.
