I walked in to ask about getting a tattoo covered up. The guy in the shop was rude and didnt even get up off the couch when I entered and began talking to him. He took one glance at my old tattoo and told me there was no way they could cover it up. The guy was very unpleasant and dismissive. I guess they werent up for the effort. I went down the road to Voodoo and they ended up giving me a killer coverup a couple weeks later. They were nice to talk to and very professional as well. I recommend Voodoo over Blue Byrd any day of the week. Edit: The owner saw my message, has reached out, and apologized. I have changed the 1 star to 3 stars.

My wife got her first tattoo here. We were treated quite rudely by the staff, but when their buddy walked in he got treated like royalty. The art was shoddy- she got a black semicolon on her hip- and it was nowhere near round or symmetric. Additionally, they didnt do any sanitizing as far as we could tell, and her tattoo got badly infected. It didnt help that their instructions for a first time tattoo is "oh, just keep it clean". After a month of antibiotics, we got her tattoo redone at Evolved in Columbus and had a completely different and much better experience.

Just got my septum pierced by David Klaiber and it was the most professional piercing I have ever received. Most people who get their septum done complain about the initial pain of the needle and the clamp. David took his time to find the exact spot that would inflict the least amount of pain and I am not lying in any way when I say that I didnt even feel it happen until I opened my eyes and saw the needle sticking out. Phenomenal work David! Ill definitely be coming back to see if his tattoos are as great as his piercing work! Definitely recommend this shop!

Jessie Villars at the Middletown location of Blue Byrd Tattoo far exceeded all of my expectations! She was professional during the design phase, the tattooing phase AND the aftercare phase! Her art is phenomenal and her attitude made the whole experience one I truly enjoyed! On top of that, the tattoo looks amazing...better than I could ever have expected! I cant wait to get back in and let Jessie tattoo me again! She is the only artist I will ever trust to place a tattoo on my body!

I had my very first tattoo done at Bluebyrd when I was 18 years old. I am now 21 and am thinking about my second tattoo; unfortunately, I moved away! I am writing this review because even after nearly 4 years, my tattoo looks crisp, bright, and professional. I get compliments all the time, and I wish more than anything that I could go back to Bluebyrd for my next tattoo! You will not regret choosing this shop for your ink!!!

Ive been to Blue Byrd a number of times and always leave happy. Everyone Ive met and had do work for me has been professional and personal at the same time. Scott has now done two tattoos for me and Im in love with his work and style. Hes an amazing artist, along with everyone else Ive met in the shop. I wont ever go anywhere else to get work done.

I have had over $300 worth of ink done here. They charge a fair price, run a clean store, and have several really good artists to choose from. You get to watch netflix while getting ink done, and the team is really friendly and have a great attitude. I plan on going back for more work soon.

I have had not one but two bad tats in my life and artist Kevin Byers changed that. He did such a god cover job that I plan to add even more ink. And I thought I was done! The shop is clean, and everyone that I met there was friendly. I would (and have) recommend this place to anyone!
