I have had 5 tattoos done, all by Zach who was amazing. However, he is no longer there. I went in to get a simple tribal addition on my chest and it was done by Rob Thomas. I cannot say how disappointed I am. Issue 1 - he was brutal, I have NEVER had so much bruising after a tattoo and I have had an 8 hour tattoo on my back. Issue 2 - this was a simple stay within the lines black tattoo. Much to my surprise I noticed a bigger permanent effect due to his incompetency. This result is call a "Halo": BME/Risks: Extreme Tattoo Ink Bleeding Posted on January 8, 2013 by Shannon Larratt "Its not unusual for some people to get a slight "halo" of color around their tattoos, as the ink moves out via capilliary action and permeates and stains subcutateous tissue. Sometimes this is because of a mistake make by the artist (for example, tattooing too deep). Obviously Rob did not provide the same level of skill and service as Zach had during prior tattoos. He was tattooing too deep resulting in a permanent sub-standard tattoo which I will have to look at the rest of my life. My advice would be to avoid Psycho Tattoo at all costs. The place has completely gone down hill since their relocation to Marietta. Chris was an inconsiderate manager with no ability in the realm of customer service. Regardless of the service and the outcome, however bad, good luck in getting your "floating" deposit back! And if you must go there for some reason, dont let Rob Thomas touch you!

The only reason they get a 3 is because everyone I dealt with except the actual artist (Erick) was extremely sweet and welcoming. There was a girl and guy out front to greet us. Super sweet and engaging. A friend and I went in hoping to see Rob Thomas because we have heard nothing but amazing things about him. Although, we both wanted small, easy pieces and didnt really mind who did them. Rob was not there, so we went with the one artist available. Never again will I take anybody available as he was probably available for a reason. Both tattoos we got took maybe ten minutes each, and he made roughly $300 on both of us within 20-25 minutes. No effort at all was taken to make sure we were comfortable. I thought I was just misreading his tone because he didnt say much, but I could not engage him at all. All 8 words he grunted at me were snappy. The most he said was when he insulted my friends existing work on her arm and told her he could reconstruct it all for $150/hour. He was not appreciative of our business, and for that money he should have been. I feel less like I got a fun tattoo and more like I sat in time-out and got scarred by a total butt. Looks totally alright, but now I know to never do a walk-in ever again. I dont see how people could sit for hours with him.

It disappoints me giving this place 1 star. First and foremost I will say Erk the piercer is great and friendly. However, I decided I need a place closer to my new home to go get tattoos. This place is not it. My child, boyfriend, and I sat down in the waiting area and the first thing that happens? An artist walks over asks who did my tattoo and says very loudly it is misspelled. He slams my piece in front of all the other artist, my kid, my boyfriend, and the rest of the customers. The word judgemental can be spelled two different ways. Similar to; grey/gray and color/colour. (Ask a literature professor jerk). Even if it HAD been misspelled you do NOT insult a customer. Piercing and tattooing is a customer service like it or not. My artist Erik gave me a half assed apology for the other artists behavior then insulted me in the same way. "Funny if you are a literary nut, your tattoo is misspelled." I told him it can be spelled two different ways and to look it up. These guys have an over blown sense of self and their work doesnt match their ego. Erik tried to make up for his insult by chatting with me, but damage already done. Also for 300 dollars I would think I would get cleaner line work.

Ive been meaning to make this review for awhile now. A friend asked me if I had ever been & it reminded me to write this review. If I could give zero stars, I would. A few years ago, I went to the shop to get a quote. I was quoted a decent price so I paid the $50 deposit & booked my appt for a few days later with the same artist who quoted me (I dont remember his name.) I showed up to my appt & the guy wasnt there. The Hispanic guy working the front desk went & found another artist. This artist quoted me a price about $120 more than the original artist. I wasnt satisfied & asked for a tattoo from the original artist or a refund. The Hispanic guy was SO rude & unprofessional. He claimed to not have known who the original artist was that quoted me. How in the world do you take my $ & not write the name of the artist on the receipt or in your book? I left this place LIVID. Anyone who ask for recommendations, I tell them to stay tf away from this place. The situation wouldnt have been so bad if the guy working the front wouldnt have been so nasty & negative. Never again...

Just left the shop to get my daughters nose pierced and it seem like they really just did not want to do the piercing they did complain about her brothers being there and I suggested they can go and sit in the car they never asked who else was in the car they just quickly said that they dont think that they can sit in the car because its illegal but unbeknownst to them if they would have asked they would have known that there was another notice in the car whos just afraid of needles and want to come into the tattoo shop so yeah great job for you Ill just take my money elsewhere also these are 10 year old boys that we are referring to that was going to sit in the car with another adult and before they even asked if there was someone else they just quickly said that it was at legal and assume that I didnt have anyone else with me

Got a wedding ring tattoo here. After a couple weeks, some of the lettering faded a little bit. I was disappointed and worried that it would look like crap forever. But, a single phone call fixed it. They wanted me to wait a little while until it healed, and then they touched it up (basically did it again) and this time, looked great, and stayed looking great. They are also very honest. Originally, I wanted it to go all the way around my finger, which would have cost twice as much. But, they explained that I probably wouldnt be happy with that in a couple years because your skin sloughs off so much on the bottom part of your finger that it wouldnt stay looking good. Wife got 3 tattoos, and shes happy with all of them.

In my search to find a reputable shop to re-pierce my 6 year old daughters ears, as the holes closed without realizing...I was directed by another shop to call Psycho Tattoo. I had a discussion over the phone with a gentleman who explained that its rare to work with someone so young, but hed interview her and decide in person. We went, and he was exactly the person to do the job. He was professional, thorough, calm, and gentle. She was nervous but brave, and he didnt need to re pierce, only a blunt probe was needed. So thankful that we didnt have to go to the mall, and Id recommend this shop to anyone!!! Ill be back for my own piercings soon!
