Worst pair of glasses I have ever had. I was lied to about the eye puff machine saying they did not touch the eye and after I was finished and said I did not like the replacement, they said it works better if you dont know it touches the eye. Got an eye infection on the eye they did try it on. I need a prescription and after asking 3 times, I still did not get the one I needed, and I had to come back the following day so they could charge my medical insurance for the exam and had to wait 1.5 hours for the scheduled time I had for an appointment. I was told that my prescription would be checked the following day and it wasnt. I told them the prescription was bad. They said I had to wait "for my eyes" to adjust to the new prescription, though it was very evident that the prescription was terrible. They longer I wear them, the worse my eye strain is. I will NEVER come to this place again. They could not have cared less about how awful the prescription is, almost better off not wearing glasses as bad as they are. Honestly, I rarely take any medications, only when absolutely necessary. Because I do not want side effects, so less than 1 time every couple of months. To say my eye glasses prescription barely changed when I have to squint to see before, and guess what the new glasses were equally bad. Sorry, but still have to squint to read, though squinting does not help with this pair of glasses. I wore them 2 months. I suppose that should be more than sufficient to "adjust". I do not know why my experience is discounted. But regardless, piece of garbage is what these glasses might as well be. I had to go back to my old prescription recently. And I did not experience the eye infection until after the appointment. Was not interested in any further interactions that put my eyes further at risk. That was $330 down the drain, (price after insurance). Would love clarity, but wont be getting it here.

Went in on a Monday morning for eye exam and ended up spending 2.5 hours there. Some of it was due to my indecision on frames but most of it was waiting to have eyes checked after dilation. When I made the decision to use my existing frames I had to relinquish my glasses so the new lenses could be put in them. I was told a rush would be put on the order since I would have to go withour any eyewear in the meantime. I was also tolld the normal time is 3 to 5 business days. Friday rolls around and Ive heard nothing from them. I call and am told that they just got off the phone with the labs and apparently the lenses didnt pass QA inspection and they have to redo them. I was told they would press the lab to hurry and I would receive a call to update me on Monday [yes, a week after the original appt]. Monday comes and goes... no call. Tuesday... nothing. Wednesday... I call. I am told that the lenses just arrived but they havent been inspected yet. I was told that they would contact me as soon as this is done. If this is their idea of customer service and rush orders, Id hate to see what they consider normal or God forbid, slow. I could have gone to any place else and ordered glasses through the mail and received them faster... and probably cheaper.

Visited Atlanta Vision Optical today and it was my first time there. I was greeted promptly and filled out my health information. I was offered a bottle water but I didnt wait long before the exam begin, maybe a 15 minute or less wait. The routine eye screening was fairly quick and easy. The doctor I seen (forgot her name) was very very sweet and nice and very knowledgeable. She made me feel really comfortable and she went over EVERYTHING regarding my eye care. All the people there are extra nice and treated me with respect and didnt make me feel out of place. Its a luxury optical boutique and they have a range of luxury frames to choose from so they kinda make it hard to choose from but thats what I love about this place!!! I ended up with a beautiful pair of lavender frames by Gazal and I cannot wait to get them in a few weeks! Please check out this location, my entire family comes here! Great location and easy to find!

Ive been going to AVO since I moved to Atlanta several years ago. It was in a shopping center that I frequented and after randomly walking in to check out their selection, I was impressed by the staff and made an appt. No, this isnt Costco or Target Optical. If you want cheap bare bones services, this is not your place. Quality over quantity, this is your place! Ive never had a problem with hidden charges or hidden agenda. I think complainers simply didnt read the paperwork. Ive also declined certain services at my appointments with AVO and felt no attitude change from the staff after telling them no thank you. To me, that is the biggest plus with any service provider. Ive also requested a copy of my rx so that I may additionally purchase cheaper alternate glasses since my insurance only pays for one pair per year. Again, the staff didnt shame or question me and I even told them why I wanted it! Great office.

My first visit was last year, and it was my first time attempting to wear contacts. I wanted to go to a small shop to get the most personal care. I have to admit I did get great personal care in learning to wear contacts, but that was offset this year when I went back for an exam. When comparing my statement from my insurance company, I learned that I was charged for services I did not receive, and charged a "discounted rate" for the services that my insurance covered! Also, when it came time to order new contacts I was verbally quoted -by the owner- 3 prices for the same contacts, each higher than the other. It makes me wonder how much I had been overcharged the previous year. Then when I called to inquire about a credit on my account, I was placed on a long hold before the owner asked to call me back. Either they dont know what they are doing or they are trying to rip me off... either way Im not going back!!

I had a wonderful experience today at Atlanta Vision Optical. Most important, the amount of time that every staff member spent with me was unlike most offices Ive visited. Everyone made sure that I understood what was happening (using new technology!) and that I obtained everything I needed. Unfortunately, my paperwork from my previous doctor had not arrived. No problem, the staff worked with me and we did what we could today with a follow up in a few days when they can compare my new results with my last exam. In addition, there was an issue with my insurance, also no problem. The office manager patiently worked with my insurance company and was able to resolve the issue. Double Bonus - they specialize in hard contact lenses when other locations are no longer servicing hard lenses at all. Double Double Bonus - Atlanta Vision Optical is close to my home! I highly recommend them.
