I wanna preface this review by stating that it looks at this Whole Foods Market exclusively as a place to grab a pre-cooked lunch/dinner. My girlfriend and I came here between studying at a Starbucks and a movie we had to catch relatively soon. We were looking for a quick meal, so we had a lightbulb and came to Whole Food to check out their food options. The new store location is absolutely beautiful. It makes you wanna go inside, and it makes you wanna get a Tesla so you can park in the electric car parking spots. Pretty sweet stuff. We got inside, and the food bars are diverse and plentiful. There was Latin, Asian, Indian, American, chicken wings, all on one bar. There was a bar dedicated to all varieties of salads. One dedicated to soups. And one off in the distance dedicated to olives. Yuck. We grabbed a bunch of stuff from a wide variety of cuisine types. We also grabbed about a dozen chicken wings, because they were on sale for $4.99 a pound. The rest of the food was $8.99 a pound,so we were like, so, thats great! But be careful. Heed my warning, because the pounds add up quickly. The price rang up quickly. Which would have been ok if we got the Whole Foods in Winter Park quality that we were expecting. But we didnt. Well, it was all ok. It was just wildly inconsistent. So, things to avoid and things to seek out. Avoid anything with rice, and please, avoid the tamales. Thats about it. These were unbelievably bad. The spinach lasagna was incredible. The chicken wings were superb. They werent fried. They were baked and then sauced. So delicious. The orange chicken was also very good. Overall, this wasnt a bad option for us, and since it was our first time doing this, we dove right in. But now we know, and now you know, since youve read this.

A lot of of additions and changes have been implemented ever since the move from Aloma Avenue to a much more spacious location further north west of Winter Park. The greatest plus is the large clean parking lot, multiple entry ways, and of course the interior is designed attractively and organized much differently than the Altamonte Springs and Turkey Lake Rd. locations. Out of all the Whole Food Markets Ive had the opportunity to go to, this location seems like the "next-gen". The Altamonte Springs location is basically neck-and-neck with this location, however Ive notice there are multiple items not in stock at the Altamonte location. Im sure there are much more awesome Whole Food Markets around the nation, but for Central Florida, I come here often and its never been (so far) a disappointment. I recommend if youre visiting the Central Florida area or already happened to move here, or live here currently and have been living under a rock, check out the spot! Theres so much! And, I have not noticed it being ever super busy either (for me at least).

Last Sunday (7.30.2017) I went there to buy some meat and was very disappointed with the way the meat was handled by two of the workers behind the counter (they are nice guys but have no clue on how to handle meat products). Therefore,I decided not to buy anything and left. The handlers have blue gloves which seems nice and hygienic; however, one of them was using the same gloves for handling sausages, beef and at the same time touching his jeans on the back and at one time his hair. Another employee wanted to help a customer but he was at the fish section and without changing his gloves, he pickled up loose ground beef for a customer. This is very bad and unhygienic and dangerous because they are cross-contaminating meat with germs that might be on fish or his jeans or hair. I told this to the customer service. Let us see...

Poor selection for vegans, I have better luck at Publix. Beautiful store, but while theres far more square footage than the Aloma location, there are fewer choices in nearly every dept. other than produce. I sent the manager a list of more than a dozen different products I looked and asked for, but found out they no longer stock (in fact, entire lines are gone) - for example any vegan breakfast sausage, Amys tofu scramble (vegetarian), Bold pizza, Candle Cafe - any product. If youre looking for frozen vegan meat/fish alternative, youd better like Gardien because thats all thats offered. The food buffet is nicely stocked and there are a few vegan options there. Packaged foods and suppliments - not the place to go.

I agree with a previous reviewer "Bobby P" - Compared to their previous location on Aloma, this place is a BIG disappointment. The first time we visited we were impressed with the size and scale and expecting an "at least and better" Whole Foods experience. We didnt find it and didnt find many items. My wife really enjoys "Cookies by the Pound" and that section is now seems like an afterthought in tiny corner with much less selection. The previous reviewer also mentioned something about a new kind of store design/marketing for this particular store. If this is the case - I think Whole Foods management should take a step back and take another look. We will probably not visit this location in the future.

It was before closing and there was 3 cashiers open, Whole Foods wasnt at all crowded so I decided to go into the 10 or less cashier since the girl was just staring off into space. I figured it wouldnt be a problem since each lane was already taken with people being rung up. She looked at my cart and said sorry this is only for 10 or less, (mind you she didnt even bother counting, I had 16 more things)I look at her in disbelief and confusion since the store is literally closing soon and there was no one in sight ready to cash out. I chose my battle and shook my head and went to the other lane. Proper training for this store with make it a 5 star like it should be.

I dont complain much on here but this needa to be said... Compared to the old Aloma whole foods, this place is a #fail. How do you make a store almost twice as large but offer 1/2 the selection. Find it hard to believe? Look at the pic of the asian aisle below - pathetic. I hear this is a market test of the 365 / fusion prototype or whatever. With a City like Winter Park, is this the place to test your new prototype??? Especially with 2 publix, a fresh market and a trader joes in easy driving distance? The guys at corporate in Austin should rethink this prototype here. Winter Park deserves a full-line Whole Foods just like Sand Lake and Altamonte.

I joke and call this place Whole Paycheck. It is definitely a store for the upper earning income bracket but, every now on then, they have good deals like Target and Wal-Mart. It is a very clean store with wonderful employees. I love the architecture of this store. The layout is open and easy to maneuver around. If you have difficulty finding items, there seems to always be an employee willing to assist. The location is a bit chaotic with traffic. Thats to be expected with the touristy area. On a side note, if you are into exotic sports cars, I guarantee you will spot on in that parking lot. Absolutely awesome!

Its not bad its larger than the previous one but I agree the food is very overpriced some of the associates are not helpful and the customers are just rude. An example of the kind of trash people that shop there and I dont care if they have money every time I go to the food section or the soup section people will come and literally hover around me one lady try to actually hit me with her basket well I was looking down at the food Im I guess the crazy Orlando or Winter Park people dont let some shop or shop in peace or just get their food and peace and those are the types of morons that you find at Whole Foods
