Mias is a Pan-Asian/Oriental grocery blended with some Latin, British, and Imperial things. You can find coffee from Cafe du Monde, for example. Its the Easter eggs that makes it fun shopping here. Theres like a whole isle dedicated to dried mushrooms!! They have an exciting abundance of interesting seafood and theres also a good bit of produce including some relatively unobtanium stuffs like fresh jackfruit, durian, dragon fruit, and the like. Also plenty of canned jackfruit for my vegan-iffy-ish friends here. Theres a wall of interesting libations but the wine, sake, and beer choices on the obverse end of the store are small. There werent too many frozen vegetables leaving us thinking maybe its an American thing. Lots of frozen dim sum choices though and even some interesting frozen Indian bits. Plenty of meats, running the length of the rear of the store, and interesting seafoods along the right flank. Interesting as in nothing like Pubix. Lots of "live" stuff right out of the fish tank. All sorts of pastas Ive never even seen before - lots of choices. Sensory overload on the sauces, noodles, dim sum, and dried mushrooms. Lottery at the front. Some sort of cell sales or repair too, was all in my peripheral. Was also something about cheap lunch can be had here; didnt look for it, didnt see it, but must come back and report more in an update. Oh, and though we didnt shop it, couldnt help but notice the bakery looked so much better than when Winn Dixie was here. Lots of really good looking and smelling baked goods. Ive been to half a dozen of these places around Orlando and thankfully this ones nearby.

There are a lot of Vietnamese/Asian grocery stores in Orlando’s “Little Saigon” neighborhood on Mills Ave & Colonial Ave, the Mills50 district. What separates Mia from the competition is their selection of fresh and frozen meat and seafood (as well as frozen sides – dumplings, spring rolls, buns, etc.) Mia’s seafood department features live blue and Dungeness crabs, tilapia and frogs, as well as fresh yellowtail and redtail snapper and many other fish. The fresh meat counter is catered to the Asian community, but in the fridges on the back wall, you will find American cuts of beef, chicken and pork that will please you for the price. For example, flank steak is always $5 lb. This is my must have at Mia, as well as the “pepper steak” cuts of beef for stir fry or fajitas at the same price. (Chicken is also available.) When I was there last week, T-Bones were $6 lb. There is a hot food counter available for lunch/dinner carryout. I haven’t had anything from it but it looks delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful, even when there is a language barrier. Although Mia might have the shelf goods you are looking for, if they don’t I recommend Phuoc Loc To, also on Colonial Ave.

I like how they also sells milk too. I go grocery shopping at the Asian markets every week but sometimes have to stop by Walmart or elsewhere just to buy milk for my baby. Now I can make a one stop here. They do have some rare ingredients other markets do not have that I have been searching for such as the mountain jelly vegetable. They also have wakame made in Korea while most other Asian stores have wakame made in China which have a warning label on the back about cancer causing problems. The bakery offers many selections and their buttermilk bread is delicious. I hope they will add Chinese egg tarts later and offer more green tea snack products. Seafood display is high for short people like me. I buy fresh fish by looking at its eyes. I cant see the fish well from where I stand even on tippy toe. Their live lobster caught my attention. The meat department is fresh and offers plenty of selection. They need to improve the seafood department especially acknowledging what they are selling. They sell lion fish but no one knows how to prep it nor speak English when you ask for help.

Store had good selection but I dont think Ill shop here again. I have a legitimate service dog and was told to leave her by the door next time by an elderly female employee. I tried telling her that it was a service dog and had an ID from the organization that assigned her to me as well as the ADA laws protecting her... but was interrupted constantly when trying to explain she ended with, "I understand but this is a marketplace." The service dog did not make a mess anywhere, and did not touch anything nor bother anyone. This is not the only Asian marketplace in the area, and I did not have much problems with them, they asked if my dog was legitimate, I showed them the credentials and they said ok. She was very unreasonable.

As large as this store is, the amount of Japanese goods is seriously lacking. There was a store in Tampa that I unfortunately moved away from and yet I cant find the Japanese candy, mochi, nori, matcha, furukake or brand of rice I like. The vast majority of products are either Chinese or products like Japanese style Mochi that are made from Taiwan and taste like they were made from the box it came in. the last straw was when the clerk directed me to a box labled sweetened power green tea and said it was matcha. Does she think all her customers are ignorant? All matcha are powdered green tea, but not all green tea powdered can be matcha. Well I tried it, and it tasted awful.

Love love love this place, its located right in downtown Orlando. The prices are unbeatable. while Whole foods sale there You Thai Coconuts for $4.99 they sell the same quality at this asian supermarket for only $2.99. Bargin! The cashier is trilingual which is awesome, everything is well organized, although a bit outdated the store itself sells quality and fresh products. Youll find a lot of ethnic food as well as exotic foods you dont usually find in other supermarkets. They have a bakery/cake section as you walk into the store, so if youre looking for unique well made themed cakes I would definitely check them out.

Best selection of all the Asian markets in the downtown area. They have a rather large space (it used to be a Winn Dixie), and they have filled it with a great variety of products from all over Asia. In particular, I think they have the best frozen section I have seen. The only negative I have for them is that I bought some salmon and when I got it home (packed on ice), it was already spoiled. This might have been bad luck, or since they were just opened, them still getting their systems working properly. Either way though, that was an issue.

Really awesome super market to get things that no other place in orlando has. Live fresh fish and produce plus a good sushi bar. I would defiantly recommend knowing what you are looking for before you go in though. not a lot of things are labeled in english. But I have a great time shopping here and looking at all the cool different things they have for sale.

I have been to a lot of Asian Marts and the place had an off smell. We didnt get a chance to really explore the store. The sound system was blaring country music which drove us out of the store. I wish Central Florida have "H-Marts" like they do in the Atlanta area. H-Marts are well run, items are fresher, they carry a lot more selections.
