One of the most horrible experiences I have ever had. Shopping here is something I recommend you avoid. The staff supervisor "Nate" and the "President Matt", obviously feel that the customer is not important. Last night, I was reprimanded for not staying in the line as the store closed, Having 2 customers ahead of me, I laid my merchandise on the counter awaiting my turn. So I browsed in front checking the shirts right in front of the cashier. I was verbally told in a bad manner to stay in the line. I answered the clerk "Nate" what was the difference that I look while I awaited my turn. He became violent and told me to stay in the line or "leave the store". I answered him, "Did he go or graduate college", as Mr. Spock would agree his attitude was illogical. So I shut-up and stood there like a pelican waiting to catch a fish. Upon my return this morning I spoke to the manager "Matt" of what had occurred the previous night and he responded to me that he "would have made me leave the store" In awe of this response I made the "President" aware that their attitude was completely wrong. I made him aware that the so called gentleman was very rude to me first! Having investigated the matter with other friends of mine here in Wilton Manors, many have their own horror story shopping at this establishment. That place I shall tell my friends avoid it like getting Aids. And it really is a pity, such a nice looking store considering their expansion. But their customer service makes shopping there not worth it. Shopping there you better avoid the hostile employees. I for one shall not enter. I will stick with "Poverellos" and "Out of the Closet" I have also heard that helping the animals is just a front, I do not know, but a lot of people mention it!

This store is so cool but I had the worst experience in there. I didnt put away the 3 garments I tried on and the male worker was immediately rude beyond belief. I didnt see the sign that says to put away your garments. That was my bad. I apologized. But the worker was unnecessarily and persistently rude about it. Right from the beginning his words to me were so hostile, I was caught off guard. Then he kept following me around glaring at me and snickering and calling me ridiculous. He raised his voice to my boyfriend after my boyfriend already said he would put his garments away. I honestly thought he was going to try and fight my boyfriend which is ridiculous and weird. He would not leave us alone. The nice lady at the counter told us to ignore him, hes just having a bad day because other people had torn the place apart earlier. But you shouldnt take it out on the other customers. That was completely unnecessary for the small mistake that was made. The 3 garments were not left on the floor, they were hung up. I did make a mistake, but it should have been handled better. I never leave bad reviews but this was was well deserved.

Boomerangs is one of the most special stores in South Florida. Through their tireless efforts literally thousands of abandoned and neglected animals get a second chance at life. Some may look at Boomerangs as just a secondhand store. I see it as a vital lifesaver to those that have no voice. That said, it is definitely the cleanest and most organized thrift store Ive ever visited. There are many treasures in the store including an absolutely awesome cat adoption center/cafe in the back. For those expecting their experience at Boomerangs to be the same as walking into Saks I respectfully suggest that they go shop at Saks. Boomerangs offers service with a smile, super affordable prices and the knowledge that every purchase you make is funneled back to make the lives of abandoned animals better. That matters to me and thats why I LOVE this store.

This is one of the cleanest and most organized thrift shops Ive ever been to! Lots of items from clothing to furniture and kitchen stuff. Proceeds benefit a dog rescue organization so it feels good shopping there. I also found a little souvenir Ft. Lauderdale dog toy to take home for my pup I was missing while on vacation. Good prices on clothing and they have a designer rack where items are priced slightly a bit more than the non-designer clothing but still a good deal. The check out was busy when we checked out and we did get a tiny bit of attitude from the cashier - but hey maybe it was just his NYC way of being vs our Canadian personalities.. This is a must stop when looking for thrift store shopping.

I like this place, great staff, friendly, great mission... but jesus, someone needs to tell them that the exterior of the building looks gross. Lime green with navy stripes. PAINTED ON THE WINDOWS, poorly, are orange and navy blue awnings. It looks like they let a child do the work. Im not sure if there trying to make the building look quirky or if they just have no taste. but the color scheme is disgusting. Someone please help them. get the paintings off the windows. Pick some colors that coordinate. I know theyre trying to match the logo... but its not working. Maybe the paint colors were donated to them by colorblind foreigners? FIX IT, its an eyesore.

Felt physically threatened by an employee because I did not put clothes back directly where they came from. He acted as if he wanted to fight me. Doesnt that seem extreme? He said there were signs to put the clothes back where you got them from if you decide that you do not want to buy them, but I did not see any signs saying this so I hung the clothes up on the end cap as one would do at most thrift stores. This is a really cool establishment with a good purpose, so its a shame my experience there was so scary When I asked the cashier why this man was so threatening she seemed very used to it. Watch out for that guy, shop at the risk of your own saftey!

They came to pickup the items I was donating but upon coming home there were items left behind. I was told they were not taken as items were damaged (they were not and in fact some were antiques with considerable value) . Going to the store the following day I was greeted by rude employees who stated if I wanted items taken away I should call 1-800-got junk. Unacceptable. To make matters worse people were walking out of the store with items I donated the day before while dealing with them. BEWARE, THIS COMPANY WILL CHERRY PICK THROUGH YOUR DONATIONS. PLEASE TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE LIKE POVERELLOS THAT GLADLY ACCEPT ALL DONATIONS.

I walked in with a simple question so we approached the checkout desk. We were told by the cashier wed need a manager (as she pointed to a short, tattooed man). Before I could approach him he raised his voice and announced to the ENTIRE STORE that they "were closing in five minutes... and THAT means they want to see us on the other side of the [front] door." ONLY THEN did he ask what our question was. We decided we were no longer welcome and excused yourself without further incident. Rude, unprofessional, disrespectful, and bad for business.

Matt & Steve are our heros! They have given us a home to operate our spay/neuter clinic AND to house our adoption center. They help support our operation from proceeds from those who shop and donate at the Thrift Store. They are kind, generous guys who have dedicated their business to help those who need the most help...the pets in our community..THANK YOU MATT & STEVE. Please shop at the store, please donate your household items to help support Stray Aid & Rescue, Lady Luck Animal Rescue and Good Karma Rescue. Its a WIN WIN for all!
