Small home town hardware store, Ive visited on a number of occasions when Home Depot or Lowes was simply "too far away" for what I needed. Located in Southwest Vero Beach - immediately west of the Goodwill Store - there is plenty of parking. Friendly and polite staff and even a Parrot to greet you upon entrance of the store. This Ace Hardware Store even has a mini United States Post Office for your postal needs. With a final call of 5 p.m. this postal facility is a bit more convenient than others, with no additional markup on fees. A warning sign on the front door warns shoplifters of the consequence of stealing. Do not pass go - do not collect $200 - straight to jail if youre caught stealing. In relation to Hurricane supplies - this store had wing nuts last year during the Hurricane Matthew scare when other stores ran out. My thought on hurricane supplies and subsequent returns is simple. The receipt says "Items must be new, unused & contain original packing/accessories." If youve opened your items and used them or maybe discarded the original packaging, you shouldnt be able to return them. Besides - why wouldnt you keep the supplies for a rainy day, or this case - another hurricane? Thats all I have to say - this is my review of Vero Beach Hardware. Take it or leave it. Went to vero store. Was looking for certain type of fastner for car. Older gentlemen w/glases had ask me for a sample of one and told him I did not have one. He then shruged his shoulders and said what are u trying to do. I told him and he kinda just acted like I was not even there and then walked off about 20 seconds later never to see him again and was in the store for about 20-25 minutes. The cashier had a personality of a stone. No smile, nothing. I remembered I wanted to ask her if her dog had died or something like to that nature. I also explained to older gentlemen another problem and he acted like I was speaking russian. I left there and thought maybe I was over reacting so went to fellow competior and they were aewsome, said hi and help me out with issues. Word of mouth will kill business in a smaller area like Vero Beach, so be careful Ace, we are not in Miami!!!! GO OUT OF UR WAY TO HELP AND DO WHAT IT TAKES. THATS WHAT I DID FOR MY JOB, AND MAKE 83K YEAR WITH ONLY A 2 YEAR DEGREE.

I really like this store. They have plenty of staff to help you find what you are looking for. Im in the store at least once a week (for the Post Office). Very Clean Store and Nice, Friendly Staff willing to help! I like the Mid Size store feeling; however, its big enough to find just about everything one may need for home repairs. Keep up the good work! Just give the Parrot a little more attention. He is so Gorgeous but they need/love lots of attention :).

Love having Ace near the house. For the first review that gave negative feedback, are you going to the hardware store to socialize or to geter done? Same older fella with the glasses always helps us out the best way he knows how. Maybe you were speaking Russian and just didnt know it. This store is higher price than the big stores out on 60, but they have everything you need and if you leave nearby its a life saver.

Very unprofessional to have your online hours state that u are open till 7. When I drove there you were closed at 5:15, I understand its the day before Thanksgiving but if you want leave early at least change your website plz. Other than this normally good service

I go to this store often because I can go in, get what I need and get out within a couple of minutes, unlike the "big box" stores. There is always someone to help you and to answer questions. They have very good quality products. Very friendly service.
