Ive been in here twice. The first time, I waited for the older guy to finish with another customer, who was talkative, it took awhile before he even said Ill be with you. Finally, a lady came out, so after a couple minutes, she came over to me. I told her Id been waiting. She asked, well did he say anything to you? Well, yeah, but after a long time and still didnt help me. So, what ever. I was very clear about needing water proof boots. I pressure wash for work. Need dry feet. I saw rubber muck boots, but she insisted on the leather. She said theyll resist chemical and are water proof, $160. I also bought $60 insoles. Two days later, the boots were shot! Not water proof, no protection from chemical. Some time has gone by now. I ended up with $20 Walmart boots. No comfort, but water proof. Of course, after a couple months, now they wore out, so I remembered the muck boots at Redwing. Despite my best judgement, I thought Id give it another try. When I went in, a different older man was working. I went right to the boots, $170. I asked do you have these in a 10? He wouldnt go look. He wanted to know if Ive been there, look me up by my phone#, I said its probably not in there. I hate when stores need my phone or address, email etc. Why?! Just go look for a size 10. So he says my numbers not in there. Whats your last name? Again, I said, I dont want to go through all that, can you just go look for a 10? He went in back for about 10 seconds, comes right out and said he didnt have a 10. With Outback nextdoor, that has closed, they have to be hurting for business. For the prices they charge, I expect more customer service and less headache. I asked if theyre paid commission? He wouldnt answer. I had my employee with me, I was going to get him boots too. So, you just lost out on an over $340 sale. I wont go back. We went to Northern Tool on Hillsborough, they had good, rubber work boots, for only $67. So, for less than 1 pair at Redwing, we got 2 pairs at Northern Tool. #saving

I purchased a pair of $300 slip on work boots "Red Wing" and within the first 4 months the rubber toe guards started separating from the leather. So I drove to this location and spoke with their team regarding my situation. They were willing to help, which was expected anyways due to the nature of the poor craftsmen ship of this style boot. So after 2-1/2 weeks my boots were "ready" for pick up. After further inspection I noticed that whomever "attempted " to fix my overpriced boots only hot glued the rubber toe guards back down! So needless to say the very next day walking around doing my job supervising a construction site....the guards came right back apart! Any other large names boot company wouldve replaced them with new ones. Anyone who is looking for a boot that lasts longer than a couple months better shop somewhere else, anyone looking for boots temporarily such as these at less than a fraction of the price go to Walmart and buy some Brahamas. They will last just as long and youll save $200-$300! The only good part about this location is its located next door to Outback Steakhouse

Since the Fowler Avenue store has closed, I drove a significant distance to the Dale Mabry location to purchase new boots. The saleswoman could not have been more snotty and rude in dealing with me, despite the fact that I was pleasant and professional the entire time. The salesperson in question had zero customer service skills and told me my boots were in stock when they were not. When I told her the last few pairs of boots I bought from them wore out quickly (the sole cracked across the entire bottom, for example), she basically said that’s what I get for standing in water all the time. Also, when I bought my last pair I told them I needed steel-toe boots and until yesterday I was under the assumption that was what I had purchased (they’re not!) I told her they lost a customer and she did not care.

I walked into the store as a previous Red Wing shoe purchaser at a store in another state. The older gentleman, which i didnt get the name of, helped me out for over 30 minutes going through an assortment of soft toe boots. He saw that i was wearing another pair of two year old Red Wing Oxfords that have seen better days. He brought it out back and polished it free of charge, then taught me how to do that same with mu new pair of boots . He did a great job with his customer service and i am loving the pair of boots he sold me. The store may be very expensive but if you are looking for a comfy and long lasting boot then this is the place to go.

Terrible customer service! Two older men who seem to not want to measure your feet so you know that youre buying a proper fitting boot for 220$. I wanted a pair of boots I found online, and Kevin got an attitude about ordering cause he hates the Internet, and any questions about delivery all I got was an attitude. When I payed the total he was handing my change back without even looking dropping my money all over the counter, practically throwing my money at me. Great boots, but I would rather go to a different location for better customer service

Went here for my husband to pick up the low-cut version of the boots he has owned for many years. They had what he was looking for, but when they didnt feel the way he expected them to, the guy had nothing to offer other than, "What did you expect? Theyre not boots." They had very little in the way of selection for him to try instead. Most of the store was steel-toe because thats "what they sell the most." Im sure if they stocked more of the everyday wear, they would sell more. We left empty-handed.

The shoes were very well made (though on the higher end of prices for work boots) and there is a good selection of sizes and styles. However the saleswoman was extremely rude to us after learning that we would not be buying shoes and walked into the back while we were still in the store before we were able to ask about the orthotics the in-store scan recommended. She said "thanks for your time" with her back turned to us as she left the floor and did not return.

I bought 200 dollar boots. The next day they tore, I brought them in, and have never been disrespected like I was with the people here-- Kevin and his coe worker were extremely unnecessarily rude and I cant believe such a successful company hires employees like these. Really dissapointed in the staff and because of that, they lost a loyal customer. Thanks Kevin! I hope your miserable self can get some glasses that work.

Great customer service! Bought my first pair of boots here and they have been great. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. Couldnt ask for a better shoe buying experience. And I can already tell that these boots are going to last me for a long time
