I was down in Tampa for a while and I took my Pomeranian to a dog groomer there that charged $40.00 and left my dog looking wonderful. I didnt really find any places with good reviews here in Tallahassee so I though to myself...why not Petco? I could bring them a picture of my shaved Pomeranian and just ask them to imitate the hairstyle. I guess I was wrong, the groomers there arent that good. They didnt do a terrible job but they didnt do a particularly good one either. I was a bit upset as well because the stylist looked at my picture and said "yeah, okay, I can do that." I asked him if he wanted to keep the picture and he replied "no, I got it." Wish you would have kept the picture because you arent that good of a groomer. For $46.00 I expect a better job. Btw, can anyone suggest good groomers in Tallahassee?

PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! I took my German Shepherd into this location for a bath and Furminator treatment. A couple days later I noticed he wasnt acting himself. I took him into our vet and he has folliculitis. The vet said most likely the cause from the technician not being careful during the Furminator treatment. My dog has gotten this treatment numberous times in the past. Now his body is covered in these painful open sores. I had to pay $440 at the vet to get him treated with antibiotics, pain meds and medicated shampoo. I dont want anyone else to go through this same experience. My husband and I were visiting from out of town and we thought we were doing something nice for our baby. Boy were we wrong!!!!

Completely ignored by employees who were talking to each other. Ive never experienced that before. Prices were a couple more dollars higher than other pet places, but I chose PetCo since it was closer to me. At the time I thought it was worth my time to pay a couple more dollars, but I will now be going out of my way to shop at other animal supply stores in the future.

I went in asking about either adopting or purchasing a dog - neither of which they do. When I asked if there were any places around where I might be able to, they recommended CraigsList.. not really, right? Im surprised anyone working in the pet industry would suggest CL to anyone. Please stick to suggesting reputable breeders and stores people, not puppy mills.

Going into Petco always feels better than PetSmart. Seems cleaner. Their aquarium knowledge is somewhat lacking, but maybe if the company paid them more theyd have a better-informed staff. The employees do pretty well making peanuts.

I loved how they groomed my miniature dachshund. He came out looking great and fresh. Definitely recommend Petco.

Ask for Nicole at the Gov. Sq. Petco grooming salon. She is good with the dogs and does a great job.

Great store. The guys that do the saltwater fish are really helpful and go out of their way to help.
