By far THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Dont walk, RUN AWAY from this place. Their slogan should be: DOLCE VITA: LOW ON TASTE - HIGH ON TESTOSTERONE. We discovered this place 2 years ago, and we have been bringing the kids for pizza and gelato at least once a month since. The pizza has always been okay, but the gelato used to be amazing. We were shocked last visit though, the place had a weird smell almost like bad sewer, and the gelato looked very runny. The young man with short spiky hair who was behind the counter looked and acted liked he didnt want to be there. As he was trying to hand the gelato cup to my youngest kid, he dropped it and all hell broke loose. He was so rude and made sure to show his anger. We were really afraid he was going to throw something at the kids, eventually he threw the ice cream scoop across the back counter. When I approached him about his attitude and his customer service (or lack of thereof), he flat out told me "So what? An if we dont like it, get the F**K out of my store". Better yet he called me the N WORD!!! (Im hispanic looking, my wife is white and all my kids look white). We couldnt believe our ears, we threw the money we owed him on the counter so he wouldnt think we were trying to get away without paying, and ultimately got the heck out of there. We watched him from the window tear the $20 bills into pieces like a psychotic. Luckily we discovered a great place just a couple of blocks away on Collins Ave. called Tasti D Lite. The staff was so friendly, and we happened to meet the owner who was unbelievably nice to our kids. They offer a great healthy and Kosher alternative to ice cream, and the store was so clean with a great atmosphere. If you are visiting Sunny Isles make sure to try Tasti D Lite, and spare your family the bad customer service and calories that Dolce Vita has to offer!!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! We went into this gelato and after the guy behind the counter dropped my 4 year olds gelato on him, he proceeded to throw the icecream scooper out of frustration, never apologizing. Instead when my husband asked him why he was being so rude he called him the n word and told him to get the f..k out of his store. We tried to pay and the psychotic guy with the short brown spiked hair and earring ripped the money into pieces repeating get the f..k out of my store. Personally I think he needs a 72 hour psychiatric evaluation and definitely should not be allowed to deal with the public especially considering he coming in contact with peoples food!!! I have never experienced anything like this in my life. I will never go back again...

Saw the mixed reviews, but a friend and I were desperate for an ice cream fix and I was dreaming of a small Italian vacation. The gelato case was in shambles, it looked like it just left overs from last night, so we decided that wed just have pizza. For $14, we got a margherita pizza, and added a can of soda was nearly $3. The pizza came out with a few strips of basil and the bottom charred. We ate the cheese topping and went across the lot to the burger king. Save your money and time.

Excelente oferta gastronómica para los que añoramos unas buenas empanadas y pizzas hechas al horno de leña. Los helados son excelentes. Great pizzas made with brick wood oven, great ice creams!! Prices are fair.

My first review! Needing a "gelato fix" we approached "Dolce Vita" with some trepedation after reading the 3 negative reviews. Happily our experience was different. Our service was great. The dark chocolate gelato was as good as it gets. Also- My wife did not care for the flavor she ordered (should have sampled it first) and would you believe that her cup was exchanged for another flavor. Thats smart customer service.

Pizza muy rica, los helados son tipo italianos. No lo considero excelentes pero si aceptables. El lugar es normal, con mesas adentro y afuera.

You would think a place would be accommodating towards new customers. Instead, they gave a sample limit of 3 and rushed us out the door. The gelato was practically melted in the tin. If you want real Gelato, go to any of the places Downtown. Unlike here, the servers are sweet and considerate.

This place is amazing. We have been trying to find such a good place to have ice cream in SO long. I looked at the other reviews (ALL THREE being from the same person) and I dont know where they went, but it could not have been this place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Arugula Pizza and ice creams are the best unfortunately the cashiers and waitress doesnt have the best manners (kind and appreciative is always good). Tables are not always clean. Maybe some lacking of personal organization
