All of the flavours are made by chopping/mixing items into either chocolate or vanilla base. They make it in front of you by pouring the liquid and toppings onto a frozen plate thing. Other reviewers have complained about lines. We went in two minutes before close and there was a line, though not out the door. It took around 10min to place our order and receive the completed product. It is a very small place, but most shops in Pittsburgh are, so thats not really complaint-worthy, its just part of Pittsburghs old city charm. My only complaint is that it was almost $10 for one ice cream and a bottle of water. Theyre a small business however, so I get it. It was fun to watch and the staff were all very friendly. Im glad business seems to be booming for such a relatively new place. :)

This is Pittsburghs first rolled ice cream shop so there was a lot of hype surrounding it, but for me it wasnt worth the hype. Considering when we got there there was a long line so I was expecting something really good. The ice cream was good but nothing to write home about. To be honest I couldnt taste the difference between the rolled ice cream and normal ice cream. By the time I was eating it it started melting and just turned into normal ice cream anyways. I got the banana Nutella and I appreciated that they used actual banana but it wasnt really ripe so it did t taste as good. My friend got the brownie which was better than mine but it was on par to Ben and Jerrys ice cream which you can get anywhere. It wasnt terrible by any means but it just wasnt anything special.

This is a fun place to go to when the line is not out the door! Yes, it is totally gimmicky, and for the price you could easily get a tub of ice cream and chocolate sauce and call it a day. If you are in a hurry, or do not find value in watching your custom made dessert be made before your eyes...go somewhere else! The ice cream base is light and creamy and once youve made your add ins selections you get to see your ice cream roller create it right before your very eyes.Great for a date night when youre just strolling around Butler Street

I had a great experience here. The staff is enthusiastic and friendly, and made conversation with me as I waiting for my order. I love that they have vegan options (chocolate or vanilla base, with many of the toppings vegan as well and all clearly labeled). and my ice cream was delicious. They used fresh fruit, were generous with toppings, and the process was so fun to watch–at least if youve seen the many facebook videos of thai rolled ice cream. There arent really places to sit, but I wouldnt expect that from an ice cream place.

Great unique style of ice cream. Usually a long wait but, tons of flavors. They have an allergy station. My boyfriend is allergic to nuts they sanitized the entire station including the sauce bottles to make sure his ice cream was nut free. This goes above and beyond on customer service! They have rotating monthly flavors and 12 steady amounts. It is only 7$ and is a ton of ice cream for the price. You can also build your own with up to 3 toppings for the same price. I will come back and cant wait to try them all.

A young millennial trendy place. Everyone in line was between 16-25 years old and white. Menu is confusing, one on each wall with different things. you pay about 7.50 for a pint. Staff is upbeat, almost too cheesy actually. If you dont mind the milennial scene this place is a must try. If you just want to try ice cream with a different delivery, give it a shot. Theres plenty of options, just for me (despite being 21) the "it" crowd draw the place has is a turn off. Good for them for making money though.

It was ok. Small cramped location obviously not adequate for the customer volume. No public restroom, and parking is annoying. I know they just opened in August but if people are lining up around the corner obviously you need to invest in expansion. Its a cool concept, the presentation is good... might be fine for the college kids and locals but Im probably never going back their until they address at least one of the above issues or open a new location that I can sit in and enjoy my ice cream.

Hard to give a balanced review of a place with so much hype. The ice cream was decent, though the limit on number of flavors was disappointing. The mix-ins are very well done and the staff is all friendly and efficient. The rolling gimmick is exactly that, a gimmick. It looks cool. I cant decide if it doesnt affect the taste at all or makes it slightly worse. I like this place just fine, but I wouldnt wait in a 20 minute line again for it.

I know rolled ice cream is the hype right now but frankly this wasnt a discounting experience at all. It was very personalized. The entire staff was super nice even though they were very busy! The ice cream was tailored to my specific wants and needs. I got the Lemon Strawberry and it was delicious! The flavors are throughout the ice cream instead of getting one good bite every now and then.

This was my first time at a Thai inspired Ive cream shop and NatuRoll effortlessly proved why this trend is becoming a staple. Not only is the shop cute and clean, but more importantly, the variety in the creations makes you just want to try everything. You have the choice to just from featured flavors or creating your own. This time I chose smores!

If only my diet allowed me to eat ice cream everyday... The whole "rolled ice" thing is a gimmick for sure but its undeniably cool to watch. The amount of options is also a plus. Theres definitely something there for everybody... which shows as youll likely see a nice line outside. Worth the wait if you have patience.

An hour and a half wait for ice cream... The creation process is cool, but the end result is a little lackluster. The ice cream tastes freezer burned and had no detectable sweetness (or any other flavor really). Its a neat gimmick, but for the price, the taste, and the wait there are plenty of better options.

What delicious fun!!! I have never had so much fun watching my ice cream being made! Everyone is so friendly! And entertaining! If you have any allergies this is the place for you. They have a special area that is sanitized between creations. Check NatuRoll out, you will not be disappointed!

Joyful crew of employees here, making the experience fun for my kids - they called the kids by their names on the cups throughout making their rolled treats. Not only are the flavors are awesome, but select holiday rolls give back a $1 donation to Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation!

Great alternative for a regular ice-cream.You choose yourself toppings, flavor (vanilla or chocolate),and cookies,or berries,or nuts. The only thing that we have spent one hour in the line. One time to do it is exciting, but second time I wont go if I have to wait again for an hour

Trendy. Delicious. Lactose intolerant? No problem! They can make you dairy-free ice cream that is just as creamy and flavorful! A little on the pricey side but the experience and the quality is far worth it. Espresso flavored ice cream with Oreo is my personal favorite.
