The Whole Truth
They or I should say "Cathy" (if thats her real name) has a serious attitude and is equally ignorant as far as a simple diagnostic of a motorcycle battery. "Oh I cant test it because the machine wont fit the terminals" I find it funny how I have fully jumped the same battery with standard jumper cables, but yet she cant seem to get them on. Mike on the other hand stepped right in and "tested" the battery. Was a simple turn of the cables to fit the terminals. Kudos to Mike, Thank you. The associate (so called Cathy) was perfectly content letting me leave unhappy and frustrated and simply didnt give a ****. When I asked her what I should do, she just stared at me as if I were an idiot. I was waiting intentionally to see what she was about. A total jerk is what she is about. I thought being in a part store there were requirements for the positions. Obviously at this one there isnt. A totally clueless, RUDE individual as herself has just cost them a local customer that is rebuilding a $200,000.00 Dragster of which 80% of the parts were available via the online catalog that could simply be shipped to this store. Not saying she should be let go by all means, people have bad days, and she may have been having one. Regardless of a BAD DAY dont take it to work, or out on other people. Im just so glad that store is so busy it can afford to treat customers like she did. Over a little battery she cost "Someone" not her, some cash.

TL;DR: What should have been a 20 minute trip turned into over a two hour ordeal. I needed to replace my brake cylinders and shoes. I made sure that the parts I needed were in stock online -- my local Bloomingdale branch (which Ive always had a good experience with) was out of stock for one of the cylinders. This branch was the closest which claimed to have everything. I ordered and paid for them online. Only two employees were in the store, one was in the back with a dozen of his buddies, while the other was checking out someone at the counter. By the time the person in front of me was checked out, there were half a dozen people waiting in line behind me. At this point I wasnt expecting my parts to be waiting for me, but I at least expected the parts to be in the store. The one employee spent nearly an hour in the back, (ultimately only found half the parts I ordered) before the other employee came to address the few dozen people (not counting several had already walked out) waiting behind me. At this point I just wanted my money back for the missing parts, which took another 20 minutes to process. They both claimed that the parts were in stock, and they just had to find them, but Id rather wait in the comfort of my own home for Amazon delivery than spend my whole weekend in this store. I dont think Ill ever go back.

I just wanted to tell everybody about my experience with this particular branch. I was heading over to St. Petersburg with my fifth wheel camper I overheated on the side of I four and knew my batteries were low. After having to shut my engine off I couldnt get my batteries to crank over and called Juan at advanced auto. I told him my dilemma and he quickly came up with a fix of two new batteries and had somebody out there within 15 minutes and even let me utilize his tools to do the repair. Im a small business owner for the past 21 years and always rank people on how they handle their customers and I can tell you that I will go out of my way to purchase supplies from advanced auto from here on out. Amazing customer service! I was helped by the store manager named Chris. Great guy!! He answered all my questions and helped me fix a couple things on my car. He went out of his way for me and I really appreciate his great attitude and customer service! He was very helpful. Thanks Chris! Usually always has in stock the parts I need. Stay away from the discounted bin and other impulse buys. The flashlights and other gimmicky stuff sold there is always at a 150%+ mark-up and may last for a month before breaking. Stick to getting from here what they specialize in, namely, parts for vehicles.
