I figured this would be the best pep boys location to take my car in for a quick timing kit installation, as they advertise having a "speed shop" in which they specialize in performance vehicles. I have a Dodge Neon SRT-4 with a 2.4L Turbo which is a limited performance trim of a Neon so I often dont trust corporate chain garages to work on it, and they further proved my point. I emphasized the car model out loud to two different people (on the phone, and at the counter for drop off). Now apparently the whole reason theyre taking 3 days to do a "5-6 hour" job (as quoted), is because they didnt realize they were working with an SRT-4 engine, and messed something up/used a wrong part under the assumption it was a regular Dodge Neon. They said they didnt realize this, even though when you pop the hood there is a 12" by 5" piece of plastic in front of the valve cover that says "SRT-4" on it. As well as having a TURBO attached to the engine with all the INTER-COOLER PIPING that the turbo necessitates. Its really unfortunate since I booked the 8:00am (first slot) appointment for Saturday so they could potentially have a WHOLE 2 days to get this done, now were going into the work week and my wife needs her car back to get to her job when I come home. I really dont have a way to retrieve my car assuming they can finish this job today (Monday). Thats not to mention, during this entire ordeal I did not receive one single call. I called Saturday morning to confirm price, and authorize the installation. I didnt bother them once the rest of the day, knowing I had all of Sunday. Called Sunday morning to check in and of course they say "Oh hey we were just about to call you! Were just finishing up." and treat me like I was born yesterday. Then I call again after 3:00pm, and who do I get? Its Larry the Customer Service Manager and he says "Oh hey we were just about to call you!" and then ask for another day to work on it. Well I dont really have a choice, short of a tow at this point. So now I guess the job will be done on a day cant pick it up. For a measly 10% off the total price. I wont be coming back.

This Pep Boys is notorious for taking advantage of women (and probably anyone who dosent know better). I am a widowed single parent, and they tried to frighten me into paying for a wheel alignment when I had literally had one done at the dealership weeks before. After I provided proof of the work which had been done at the dealership they apologized and offered me a discount oil change, just adding insult to injury. I bought tires from them and had one repaired in May 2017. Either at the time of purchase or when the repair was done, they switched the tires around causing a mix-up with the pressure reading gauges on the tires. Yesterday my front drivers side tire was reading low. On my way home I stopped at two different gas stations for air and then tried to refill the tire again at home. I brought the car to Pep Boys first thing this morning, and I asked to have the pressure checked on the tire, because I was thinking the pressure reading mechanism was malfunctioning. He checked the pressure and told me the tire was fine. He didnt bother to check the others or tell me that the gauges may have been switched with the tires (by them no less), thus reading the wrong tire. I only learned this after I left and went to the dealership. I literally could have had a tire blow up in my face while trying to fill it because I didnt know any better. This is because they couldnt take 60 seconds to reset the tire pressure gauges so that they matched the car reading, which is about how long it took the guy at the dealership this morning. These people are careless and are concerned only about making money. Go somewhere else.

I am the owner of Auto Glass Discount and I rely on my van to operate properly so I can service my customers. Last week my van began to over heat and blow water out of the tail pipe. I knew that wasnt a good sign. Having taken my van and personal vehicles to Pep Boys in Brandon before for various issues I knew Peter the Service Manager would take care of me and get my van back on the road as fast as possible. The diagnosis was a blown head gasket which I suspected and not at all surprised. The next big question was, how long to repair? It was Thursday around 2pm and Peter said he would call me later that day to give me a time frame. Well, a few hours later he called and said it would would be Monday or Tuesday to do all the repairs and the main reason was the the machine shop they send the heads out to would take 2 to 3 days. I said okay and if he could do it faster I would appreciate it. On Friday Peter calls and gave me the option to get new heads which he could get the same day and which would make the repair time a few days shorter, I said yes, great! On Saturday afternoon I get a call saying my van is ready! What a relief. I picked up the van on Sunday, the van was clean, no grease anywhere! It runs just like new. The quick service I recieved is invaluable. Having to tear down an engine on a Chevy Express van is very time consuming. Thank you Robert who was the mechanic, and Peter for continued great service.

I do not recommend getting service done at this location unless you have a lot of time on your hands. This place has absolutely no concern for the time of their customers. I went there for a 9:30 appointment to have some suspension and alignment work done. They took quite a while to initially start the actual evaluation of the system. After the evaluation they returned with a quote that contained the most expensive parts with no mention of choice of quality or selection. Because the quote was quite a bit out of my price range, I went with a fraction of the recommended work in addition to the alignment. This work took quite a long time. After seeing my car was unattended for a long period of time at 12:00, I asked when the work would be done. I was told the work would be complete as soon as the alignment was complete and there was another car ahead of me in the alignment cue despite the fact I came in at 9:15 with an appointment. Due to pressing matters, I had to leave at 12:30. Although the alignment was the primary reason for my visit, it was not complete in the 3 hours I spent at the store. I do not understand how this type of mechanic work could possibly take that long and how members of the staff believe it is reasonable to keep a customer waiting that long. I do not plan to return to this location for service and I do not recommend it for others.

I would give them a zero if there was one...HORRIBLE !!! THEY ARE THIEVES - SIMPLE AND CLEAR. DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. THEY ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY!!! My brakes were making some noise and I took my Lexus to be checked. They told me that the pads were completely gone (only 4% remaining) and went as far as to imply that it was not safe even to drive the car because the brakes could fail at any given moment. They real scared me! I was about to part off with about $799 for new brake system before something told me that may be I should seek second advice somewhere else. I went to another shop and I was surprised to be told that my pads were actually OK (65% remaining) and that they should be OK until my next synthetic oil change (3,900 miles). They fixed the brake noise and I paid $10.00 - Ten dollars! It turned out something was loose and they tightened it and applied some grease. It has been almost three months now and my brakes are as smooth as ever. They also forced me to change my wipers not knowing that I has replaced them just two weeks ago. They seemed to be surprised when I told them that my wipers were fine. I will NEVER go to these thieves again nor my family members, co-workers etc. Please spread the word about these rippers!
