My boyfriend and I drive from Melbourne, FL to Bark Avenue for toys, food, treats, beds, ANYTHING that we need for our little boy. Kelly is very knowledgeable on how her products are made, and what goes in them, and shes extremely nice and will even special order a specific food for a customer. Weve been there MULTIPLE times and have never had an issue with anyone being rude, and (in response to Saras review) we havent seen anyone else in there working (except Christmas time when Santa and a photographer she brought in where there...SUCH good photos!!!). She IS very opinionated, which could come off as being rude, but I think you have to be that way in order (knowledgeable that is) to succeed in a business thats just now starting to be known. People dont understand why anyone would feed their dogs anything but generic dog food. And, while that is fine, I still would love for my dog to get as close to the meal hed get if he were in the wild. I want him to eat the freshest, healthiest (for him) dog food. And yes, the prices of some of the foods are a little bit more, but considering that theyre being made by companies that focus more of the quality of the ingredients rather than the quantity...sometimes its okay to spend a little more in my opinion. And as I said before, you can ask Kelly a question about any one of the foods and she will 19 times out of 20 know everything about that product (where its made, how they get their food, where its packaged...etc). Overall, we love this store, and really enjoy making the trip to make sure our puppy gets the best options in nutrition.

Kelly is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to brands of pet foods. She knows all the latest recalls and concerns about the brands that we feed our pets. Pet food safety is a concern of mine, since I had pets get ill from their food prior to buying my food at Bark Avenue. I have been shopping at Bark Avenue for about 4 years, and I have never experienced ANY of the difficulties expressed in some of these reviews. I certainly have never had my name and email address sold to another business. It makes me wonder if some of these reviews are by competitors!!!! I would not buy pet food anywhere else. The care and expertise that Kelly demonstrates is UNMATCHED!

I contacted the store 2 different times by phone, one to ask if she carried the food, and then again to ask what time she closed. Both times she was very nice. Kelly (as I now know) was helpful when I walked in and even talked to me about foods. The harness (which was 30% off) I was looking at, since I didnt have my puppy with me, fit great when I went home. She explained perfect how to place her in it and all. My puppy seems to have an allergy to food and Kelly told me after we tried the new food if it didnt work to bring her in and we will try another. I would send anyone there. And I plan on going back soon to toy shop. Thanks!

Excellent place to shop when you want the best for your family member. Kelly the owner is so nice, friendly and helpful. My little girl (Lola) Boston terrier loves her to death. Kelly sells certain types of dog food that I can not buy any where else and my little girl loves that special food.If you have a family member that will not eat go see Kelly at Bark Ave and she will have what your someone special wants. I live on the Gulf Coast but my family lives in Sebastian. I try to time the purchase of dog food to when Im in town. I make a point of going there-Ive found their prices to be lower than anyplace local to Tampa/St. Pete/Clearwater. The staff is VERY friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciate the selection too. Ive not bought any toys but they seem to have a large selection and loads of collars to choose from as well. Wish they werent 150 miles away.
