I like Golfsmith. Stop by there once in a while to check out new stuff and at times even shop there. I bought items there and always was happy. The service is most likely not the best. At times you stand around for 10 minutes and nobody will talk to you. However, I had a clear goal in mind and so it did not matter to me. I looked at all clubs. While doing that, not one person showed up asking me if I need any help. So I went to the simulator area and found a staff member and asked him if I can hit JPX 825 Mizunos and the pro version. He did not seem to know hat I was talking about and not sure if they had them. So he called for another staff member. By that time I found the clubs. He showed me how to use the simulator and told me that he will come back, which he did not. However, I was able to try the 6 iron this time and I was very happy with the golf club. You can read about it in a review later. Short and sweet. Golfsmith has good deals, but do not count on advise or in depth help. They do offer fitting with a purchase and so I would consider going there. Best is , you know what you want. They have plenty of products and some good deals. Service is not the greatest, but you can get around there well finding your the inf you need.

Dispicable customer service from the manager Tom. Completely rude interactions multiple times, ignorant to even slightly advanced golf practices and golf in general. As a disabled veteran of operation enduring freedom and an accomplished golfer as the north south junior champion, the horrendous staff and management of this store justifies any golfer with a decent head on there shoulders to avoid golf galaxy. No assistance when on the launch monitor, no integrity in programming the launch monitors to show correct numbers (beware, they are pre programming the monitors to a set maximum smash factor, increased roll, and multiplying actual distance by a percentage). Absolutely pathetic management. I walked in fully intending on purchasing a new driver, new 3 wood, and a pre owned hybrid totaling over 1000 dollars.....not to that management. Golf Galaxy should look into the inexcusable practices of this store.

Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I visited the store today because I wanted to buy upgraded full club set for my son who is an avid golfer. No one would assist us or direct us despite the fact that we asked two separate sales associates for help. Ended up purchasing an open box set because there were no boxed left handed sets available in the back. Sales rep wouldnt even give us a discount on the open box set. With the exception of the associate at the cash register, the sales reps at this particular store were nothing short of rude. We will never shop this location again. I live in Lakewood Ranch and have been playing golf for 40+ years and have never been treated so poorly at a retail location in my life. My family will never shop here again.

Golfsmiths 15% off St. Patricks Day sale is a classic bait and switch. I drove 12 miles to their Sarasota store to buy a driver at 15% off. The email they sent me and their website said Ping and Titleist were not included in the sale. When I pointed out to the cashier that he was not including the 15% discount he said there was no discount on TaylorMade. Needless to say, I did not buy the driver. When I got home I looked at the sale notice on their website again I saw a very tiny text link, "additional exclusions". When I clicked on it I got a list that would have taken 20 minutes to read: it included virtually every manufacturer and product type. What B.S.!

On 2/25/17 I came to the store looking for a specific club. Not one to bother people, I walked around for 30 minutes looking at clubs, clothes and shoes. Not once did anyone ask if I needed any help. The only time someone spoke to me was when I was walking out of the store. I drove down here from Ruskin and I learned my lesson. Im giving them one star because of my first and last experience in this particular store.

Like the other reviews stated.. Customer service def has room for improvement. But, so do their prices. Any online shopper for Golf equipment or apparel knows they are WAY over priced. Ive bought the same hats, shoes, gloves, and clubs at a fraction (usually around 1/3) of their price. I actually laugh to myself when I look at the prices on some of their items.

Have purchased many items at this GolfsmithGolfgalaxy over the years, and have always enjoyed the salespeople, regripping techs, and new and used items available. Am actually reading any old negative reviews with astonishment. I certainly recommend this bricks and mortar store.

What a great experience! I went in one hour before they closed to buy shoes, glove, shirt. Two different sales people helped me and I was even able to practice hitting balls on a simulator to see if shoes were comfortable. The sale was awesome and I will definitely be back!!!

Same store just different name and higher prices. Employees took way too long to acknowledge me or ask if I needed help, but the guy that did was nice and helpful. Overall, this store seems way overpriced. Maybe they dont know we can price check things on our phones.
