My unfortunate experience with this company lasted just shy of 5 months. I purchased a sectional from them on 3/25/17. They placed the order with the manufacturer wrong (it happens) and when they fixed it an additional month was added to our order (not cool). And no one told us. When we found out about the delay we asked for a refund but were refused by the store manager. That was only the beginning. The first of three wrong couch configurations delivered in late May. At that point I posted a negative review and suddenly the store manager was offering a refund and asking my wife to ask me to take the review down. I got hold of the regional manager who assured me he would make it right. Fast forward a month to failed delivery #2. We were offered a refund again. This is where I messed up. If a furniture store couldnt do their job after 2 tries, I should have taken my refund and walked away. But I really liked the couch, so I opted to give Hudsons one more try at the whole being a furniture store thing. Fast forward to early August and failed delivery #3. This time the regional manager wasnt so nice. Apparently being a paying customer who keeps getting the wrong merchandise shipped to him is a big no no on Planet Hudson. After getting snippy (it was pretty funny, actually) he hung up on me. Thatll teach me for him messing up! I went to Josh Hudson to get the refund handled. And I asked for compensation for the nearly 5 months that my money was tied up with his company. I got my refund...and the offer of store credit or a discount. That last part wasnt a joke. Im being totally serious. The company that sent me the wrong merchandise for five months, then got mad at me about it, offered me a discount on buying something else from them. There is a happy ending: I walked into the Ashleys HomeStore, a nearby competitor, on a Tuesday, paid for a sectional, and it was in my living room (in the correct configuration) that Thursday afternoon. I was so happy with my experience at Ashley HomeStore in Sanford that last night the I returned, asked for same salesperson, and purchased a new dinette set.

I went in to exchange pieces of furniture and they gave me a delivery date of 1/14/15, was charged an additional $116.00 for the exchanged/delivery which I paid in cash. I work Monday thru Friday, I paid someone to sit at my house all day to wait for the delivery, by 3 pm, there was no call on when the delivery people would be at my house, so I called the delivery man, he had no record of the delivery scheduled for my home address. the delivery man told me to call the store, (Sanford location), I call and spoke with Kevin, he stated he would check and call me back, 45 minutes went by with no call back, so I called the store back, this time spoke with the manager, Kevin failed to complete the delivery for 1/14/15, the manager said he could have it scheduled for the next week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, I work so it has to be a Saturday, now I have to wait until 1/24/15 to get the exchanged of the furniture. There was no office of I am sorry, what can I do to make this right, nothing, but manager stated he would make sure the delivery is noted in the system this time. at this point my faith and expectation of this store are very low, and there are 2 pieces that are damaged, its a good thing I purchase the $200.00 five year warranty, I called them today also, and was told someone would call me within one to three days to set up something to handle this situation. I will think hard before I purchase from this company again, especially a big ticket item.

We were driving by the store and simply stopped by since I had never been in this store before. We went in looking for a small accent chair. While we did not find that, we did stumble on a Broyhill sofa and ottoman the staff had just put on the floor. I called my wife over to look at it, she fell in love with it. Vince Hoskins, our sales associate was extremely knowledgeable and professional. While loved what we saw we had made the decision very quickly and told him we wanted to leave for about 30 minutes to just talk about it and make sure it was what we wanted. He said, no problem . We left I called him in about 10 minutes and said we wanted it and we went back and completed the purchase. The delivery was set up for Thursday. I was able to track when the time window for delivery would be on Hudsons website and it gave me a 3 hour window. The driver (Glen) called me 30 minutes prior to the beginning time for delivery and said he would be there in about 15 minutes. He and another gentleman delivered and set it up . We were extremely pleased with the entire experience. I would buy from Hudson again and would highly recommend them.

Bed frame was delivered on 2/2/2017 to my parents house. Installation took 10 mins literally but when my parents got home to exam their new bed frame nothing was installed properly. First off they stained my parents brand new mattress. They must of dragged the furniture on the brand new white mattress and got it dirty and said nothing. Second my parents can not sleep on the bed because the slats were not installed correctly and fall out with any movement of the bed. We have called customer service with no reslove to the matter. They are refusing to take responsibility for their poor service. I guess the next course of action besides writing this review is to call corporate. (P.s...... the gentleman who did the installation gave me his business card and that if we had any trouble at all to give him a call and they would come back.) Clearly this is not true, this company does not stand by its word. I will not do business with them or recommend them at all.

It is always a pleasure to shop at Hudsons Furniture Store in Sanford I have never had a bad experience. Great selection of furniture for all rooms in the house and if not in stock it is not a problem to order. Sales specialist John D. In the Sanford store is a very personable,professional and knowledgeable person about merchandise in the store as well as special orders. John D. Is very straight forward with information and will go out of his way to accommodate our wishes for merchandise and delivery. I really appreciate John D. who is genuine and does not give false information or make promises that are not attainable. I do recommend this store and its great staff. Ranae A. I really appreciate your time and information this was my first time working with you and my experience was great thanks for your help with selecting the desk for my office. High pressure sales pitch from the minute you walk in. Hanging on your shoulder the whole time your looking and if the salesman not hanging around the rest of the staff seems to be listening to your every comment. But we bought the furniture after and thought we were done with it. We were promised a price guarantee if we found it anywhere else cheaper. Whats the chance? But we did, at another Hudson Store. Wouldnt you think the furniture would cost the same at all Hudson stores? Then the lies started. First Vince low balled us on the price difference. Then he said we had to take delivery and if we canceled we would be charged $250.00 fee. 4 days later still no refund. I guess our next step in dispute the charge. The place seems shadier than I remembered. We wont be back. Hope the furniture holds up.
