I posted my earlier review out of frustration so Im going to modify it to reflect an honest expirence. Staff was incredibly friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable when it came to the pets and everyone there seems to really care about the Dogs and finding them good homes. We did not go into Petland Plantation with the intention to purchase a puppy it was actually to just look, then we fell in love. We put a portion of the deposit down and was told her could go home that Thursday after being checked out by their vet. That week I went in to play with him and was informed that he was actually on treatment until the 9th and could not go home until then. Frustrated, we waited until the 8th and called to verify that the Puppy would be good to go on the 9th and were told everything was good to go. Call on the 9th and informed that a new vet had started and would not be coming in until the 10th (Thursday) and he would be able to go home then. The 10th comes, I call again, only to be informed that the Vet has came and went. She gave the puppy a clean bill of health, but they failed to get his health certificate signed and they could not release him until now the next day, again, Friday. Im truly glad we waited and did not come back and get the refund, but you did make the expirence of adding a new member to our family a lot more difficult then it should have been, had all your sales associates been on the same page about when the puppies can actually be released. Or, not put a puppy in the window to be handled and played with while he is sick, so he can be sold and then a guessing games as to when he can be picked up ensues which only aggravates the customer. This will not prevent us from shopping or even possibly adopting at the location again. As previously stated everyone at the location was very friendly.

Terrible service. I wanted to purchase a puppy for my son for his birthday. I came across this store and saw a puppy I really like for him. I spoke with one of the rep on the floor. Who gave me the full price for the puppy include the tax . I told him that lm on my lunch and I will be back after six to pick the puppy up.when I got there with my son and pointed out the puppy to him he was very excited. He spend time playing with the puppy. upon cashing out they told me I have to pay an extra $175 for the dog chip. I ask if I could only pay to get the puppy. Because the 175 was not include or was on the book earlier. The young lady who was the manger at time was very nasty. I explained to her explain what happened. And we only have the amount that I was quoted earlier and can I get the puppy without the chip. She said she was going to contact the store owner which I doubt that she did. she went to the back for about 2 minutes and said The owner said no. I asked to speak with the owner she said she dont know when the owner will be in the stores. When I left the store my three year old was crying. Which I was very upset because verify the price before I bought my son to the store to get his hopes up. For that peatland I would give you a Zero star if I could. For $175 chip which I would had came back and active you choose not to sell a adopted puppy. Shame on you for let me and my son down.. hope a next child wont have to experiences this. And for the owner please contact me I would like to speak to you

Im not one to write reviews but I thought this one was necessary. Recently my boyfriend and I have become really dedicated to finding a dog, one that fit our personalities and lifestyle. We looked everywhere; the humane society, local pet stores, and then finally we decided to head to Petland. Years ago when I was about 6, my parents purchased my childhood companion from Petland in Orlando and I just remember how exciting it was. Nobody really took us seriously, being 19 years old they must have asumed that we didnt have the funds or werent capable of adopting a dog. From the moment we walked in, Adriana was so friendly and giving us all of the information we needed. We had originally been set on getting a Siberian Husky but then we saw on their available dogs list an American Eskimo. With Adrianas help and patience, we ended up getting the puppy of our dreams! We cant thank Adriana enough for helping us! Our puppy, Dakota, is now in his forever home.❤️

Petland prices are NOT expensive, they are not only selling you a puppy that they obtain from a reputable breeder but healthy pups. And they are responsible by being sure you have everything the puppy needs to stay healthy they provide you with a crate , food, vitamins, etc. two grooming sessions and vet sessions. And free training and a warantee no puppy store will give you. Get more information before rating a great responsible puppy store a negative rating. I just love everyone there especially the puppies. I would buy them all if only I could. I got a teacup Yorkie from petland in December she has been the light of my mornings and throughout the day. And she is very happy and healthy. Then I went back and got my son a soft hair wheaten and my son flipped out. The dog is adjusting well hes happy to get out of that cage. He was afraid of the grass and leaves but hes gonna be just fine because hes gonna receive so much love.

This is a terrible store. They pretend to care about the puppies when its all about the cash for them. While it may seem great that they provide a free vet visit when you buy a puppy, it seems that may be so they can garuntee a "perfect bill of health" from their vet. My friend bought an extremely expensive puppy from this store and only got to spend 5 months with it. Why only 5 months? Because the vet provided by pet land gave him a clean bill of health and said that his back legs were weak because he was young when in reality he had many birth defects that included a crooked spine and his skull crushing in on him causing pressure that later made him unable to open his mouth to even eat. Tell me how that went unseen by a their vet? Adopt dont shop from this store that uses "breeders" aka puppy mills, because good breeders do not tend to supply to stores anywhere.

The staff is very nice and do seem to really love the animals. I highly recommend everyone doing research on the breeder before purchasing a puppy. We bought one puppy and never did good research, went back to look at another puppy, Google the breeder and they reviews were AWFUL. The breeder was most definitely a puppy mill, and the price was absolutely absurd to buy a puppy mill puppy, and the puppy was clearly sick. After seeing reviews for the breeder of the prospective puppy, we Googled the breeder for our current puppy and it was just as bad. If youre going to be paying so much money for this puppy mill puppy, go spend half the cost at a real breeder. They take much better care of their dogs and you know exactly where they come from.
