I was extremely disappointed with this shop. I took my road bike in to have a flat fixed only to have the same tire go flat again two hours later. Surprised, I called the store and was told that it wasnt their fault and that bike tires go flat all the time on city streets. But, the owner/manager said, he would do me a "favor" this one time and fix the flat again for free. I took it in again, and the same tire went flat again in a matter of hours. At that point I took it to another bike shop to be fixed, and the repairman said the Scoot had put in the wrong sized inner tube, which was causing it to go flat. (I have a road bike with thin tires, and they had put in the wider tube for a mountain bike.) After the flat-tire debacle, as if that wasnt enough to turn me off from doing business with the Scoot, I went in to buy a headlight for my bike. A bored 12-year-old boy was behind the counter, and a man, likely his father and not to be confused with the owner/manager, did not know how to work the register or mount the headlight properly. When he asked the child to come over and try was when I said Id do it myself, thanks, and left never to return again. Its a shame because (a.) the Scoot is the bike shop nearest to both my home and work, (b.) Im an avid cyclist-commuter (no car here, so I use my bike every day), (c.) the Scoot specializes in road bikes and (d.) I was really looking forward to a bike shop that filled a need in the community. Based on my experiences at the Scoot, though, Ill pedal a few blocks north instead to All 4 Cycling.

Knowledgeable, polite staff and very helpful. Been here a few times, ive bought a few things and ive asked a lot of questions. They always seem to have an in-depth answer which gives me an idea of how things work and their purpose. Anyways... I was working on my brakes yesterday (Sun 7/31/2016) and didnt have the tool to cut the lines, so i strolled through seeing as though i live a few blocks away and they gladly lent me the cutters to make the cuts at the store. I left and to my disappointment, i came to find out that i needed the same tool to cut the brake line housing. I quickly turned around and returned back to the store to find that they had just closed 15 minutes ago. As they were about to literally walk out the back door, i knocked on the window at which they signaled closed which i responded back with scissor cutting signal.... next thing i know they were headed to the front door. They opened up and happily assisted me even though they were about to head out the back door. Its very rare to find this kind of service anywhere. I really appreciate that they had gone out of their way to lend me a hand.... and because of this i was able to finish up the brakes and install new bar tape on my roadbike. I highly recommend them to everyone.

I purchased a fair condition bike on craigslist for $50, decided to take it in to Scoot Skate & Bike for a “tune-up”. I rode my bike from the beach to shop (Biscayne), dropped it off at 3pm and was told it would be ready in 1hr. After walking around and doing some shopping for 2hrs, I returned to the shop to find out they had neglected my bike and was told that they would finish it soon. I’m the type of person that has a lot of patience so I decided to do more shopping and give them more time. I returned to the shop at 7pm to find out the bike wasn’t ready. It appeared they were just beginning to work on it. It felt they were rushing the “tune-up” to get close the shop. Bike was ready at 8pm, long story short after $42 (tune-up fee) and 5hrs later, my bike now makes noises when I brake. The customer service is horrible; they definitely don’t make you feel welcome if you’re not a “tattoo skater boy”.

Very disappointed in this place. My boyfriend took my bike in with a need for a new seat and post, gear box where the tire is, and to fix a flat. Somehow they said I also needed a new gear shifter as well because "it was cracked" and when my boyfriend questioned them about it they called him a liar "we didnt do it, so you obviously did." Also, the post they offered was not the same one as the factory issued and so when trying to find a new seat it is impossible to find, thus it seems they were trying to make us only buy their seats which were highly marked up. Not only were they trying to scam us for more and more money, but their attitude was completely lackluster. I know customer service is rare in Miami, but this was just a horrid display of how not to treat your customers! The bike shop has great potential if only they knew what doing good business was. Take your bike somewhere else.

I like this bike shop. People are friendly and the service is good - especially good for mountain bikes. This is one of the few shops that still will set up your tubless tire system. Thats important to me. The shop atmosphere is relaxed and customers just hang out there and chat up the crew. Many bring and share beer with you. How cool is that? I go there for my high-end mountain bike repairs often and road bike too, but not as often. But I see a large and loyal following of commuter cyclists. Anything from the hypster fixie to the urban fat bike to daily commuters. Even the local police has their bikes serviced there. Over time, Ive got to know people at this shop. Some even became friends. I like that. This may not be a big box bike shop with fancy displays, but probably thats why i like it so much. Feels real there.

top notch. great guys to work w/ & best bikes i tried. i tried lots of bikes. the cruiser i bought was the "leisger" c.d.5. fifth gen. down tube battery mounted cruiser. - the sweetest bike i ever rode. EVER! ive been riding for 65 years so i know. originally i wanted the tommy bahama, about $ 4,ooo.oo so b/4 spending that much i tried many bikes -including the tommy bahama- which was nice- but this c.d.5 from miami bicycle is the best bike -including non electric cruiser- i ever rode. it has all the qualities of a precision racer & all the comfort of a cruiser. they worked w/ me financially and they are good guys. i have had some bad experiences with bicycle shops here in miami -even palm beach- but these guys know bikes and dont screw you. i will always use them for my ebike needs.

I bought a Chinese-made 50cc scooter for what my research indicated was a decent price. The owner and his team were super attentive and helpful. Showed me everything I needed to know and answered every annoying question w/ a smile. Later on they even put the tag on for me, which took some doing. I was able to order the scooter on Monday and drive out of there on Wednesday. They guarantee my parts for 18 months and the 1st tune ups free. My only hang up is that they were a bit overzealous about how long it would take to be ready and they werent very communicative. I had to keep calling. Yet, I tolerated it b/c once you put one foot in the store its obvious how busy these guys are. They never stop moving.
