I never even made it to the order!! I am very sadden by the lack of customer service and friendliness. I am new to the area and I am already stunned by the lack of Southern Hospitality. It was very insulting being questioned, off the top, about my knowledge of their prices before discussing my order. Although I didnt expect the price for what I needed, I would have been willing to use their services. But after the need to educate me on their ingredients to rationalize their prices, I was unwilling to entertain their services. Im sure they produce great specialty cakes but they MUST give more detail to friendliness and customer service. Because, HINT! HINT! You never know who youre talking to. If you are ever in the Charlotte area and need amazing cakes with amazing customer care, please look up House Of Madison Desserts. You wont be disappointed. Lisa McClendon

Tried a small cake 8" to see if we wanted to have a larger one done. The cake was marginal at best, local groceries do a better job on the cake and flavor. Visually the cake was appealing with a smooth fondant finish and an intricate bow. The bow was brushed with a shimmering powder but it did not create the desired effect and looked like residual starch or sugar. The fondant was overly thick and its weight started to collapse the cake at room temperature. After cutting it appeared that there were gaps in the rough icing that caused the separation and the thick fondant did the rest. The look was good and the taste average. Unless you need the specialty look, you are better off at a grocery store specialty bakery.

The Cake Shop of San Jose is a delightful establishment! Everyone who works there is always so warm & friendly! What a creative bunch individuals!! The cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, cupcakes, AND more are so scrumptious! We use them for all occasions. Whether it is for a simple dessert for a dinner party or a big todo for a birthday or shower we use them! Never been disappointed. We are always very pleased with the service, the appearance, and the taste!!

Last year-I forgot to do a review and just seen the page on google.. I went in and got 4 cupcakes for my brothers bday and the cupcakes were HORRIBLE and non edible.. I let them know right away and the owner said she would make more just to confirm the date I would get them. I spoke to the owner and on the day i went to get them the bakery was closed. The cupcakes and customer service both were terrible and I will never spend another penny there. O

I was recommended to the Cake Shop of San Jose when I was planning to be married. I set up an appointment to taste cakes....it was wonderful. Vanilla cake, lemon cake and a marbled cake. All super. They even gave me a small 6 inch cake to take home. No charge for this. I ended up going to another bakery, not because of the service at CS of SJ, but because their cake was out of my budget. I believe it was $800. My budget was $550.

Incredibly talented! I have now used the Cake Shop of Jax for a baby shower, bridal shower, and gender reveal party. Each time Ive used them, I have brought them my party invitation and they have created a cake to perfectly match my invitation each time. Their cakes are always the centerpiece of each occasion... so detailed and elegant! Thank you Cake Shop for your masterpiece cakes!! I highly recommend using them for your next party!

I bought a German Chocolate Cake last week. I ordered it two weeks early. It was delicious. But at $55 I dont expect rudeness. They never gave me a time the cake was going to be ready so I showed up on the date and it wasnt ready. So I had to come back the next day, which is a 30 minute drive for me. The cake was good, but like I said for $55 I will find another shop that appreciates my business.

For our nieces bridal shower, we ordered a half sheet cake, yellow cake with white buttercream icing. It was decorated beautifully with flowers in the brides colors. The cake not only looked perfect, it tasted perfect! It was fresh and exactly what we hoped it would be. We highly recommend this bakery!

Best Red Velvet Cake ever! They made one for my 50th Birthday, with a great Mad Hatter Tea party design. The cake was so moist and Scrumptious, everyon loved it.. Very pleasant to deal with . I would order from them in a minute.
