If you are wondering why all the hype over some stinkin popsicles, then I encourage you to stop reading and quickly drive over to Hyppo! There is little not to like about this place. I first discovered them in St. Augustine where the heavenly chill saved me from a scorching hot summer day with my family. This location is relatively new but no less glorious than the first. I used to celebrate Thursdays (my busy work day) with a coworker by eating some frozen yogurt at TCBY in the hospital. However, that junk is going the way of the dinosaurs now that Hyppo is here! It is our weekly tradition and one that I justify as both a little slice of heaven and mildly more healthy for me. I have begun a quest to try every flavor and have made my way through about a third of the selection (although with flavors being added and removed regularly, I may never accomplish my quest). I can honestly say that there was only one flavor of everything I have tried that I didnt describe as either "orgasmic" or "jaw-droppingly good." That flavor was pear pie (or something like that). I love both pears and pie so it should have been a win as well but it didnt score like all the rest for me. I cant gush enough about how tasty these little frozen blocks of paradise are. Sure, you can argue that they are a tad expensive for something that you could arguably make yourself with a little bit of patience and initiative, but we all know thats not going to happen. Here are my favorites so far: -Horchata (reminds me of Mexico and Arizona! Nothing is quite like a cold glass of horchata) -Datil Cheesecake (holy spit I could take a bath in this and I wouldnt even complain about the shrinkage) -Mango Habenero (so refreshing!) -Mexican Hot Chocolate (mmmmmmm!) -Strawberry Datil Youve got to trust me on this, this place is amazing and one of my favorite things about Jax! Pro-tip: Grassroots Natural Market and a few other select natural food stores in the area sell certain flavors of Hyppo popsicles by the box!! They are actually cheaper than going directly to the Hyppo store but lack some of the more unique flavors.

The Hyppo is a gourmet ice pop shop started by a local of St Augustine, and it has now expanded into shops all over Jacksonville and other places in Florida. You will be greeted by friendly staff, and laid back hipster decor upon entering any shop. This location has a long mural painted along the wall featuring whimsical scenes, including a painting of the owner! There are dozens of flavors to choose from, made from delicious ingredients. Whether you like a fruity concoction, are eager to try daring flavors, or prefer a more dessert style, there are options for you! I definitely enjoyed my chocolate dip on my last visit!

I went for my first since the preview around Halloween! My friend Cathrin and I had the pleasure of speaking with Lily last night and having her help up find our Popsicle of choice. She was so delightful and was a treat to interact with. So many flavors to choose from, I had the Sangria Plum. It was yummy and great.

They are misleading and terrible Mexican HOT chocolate has HOT PEPPERS IN IT WHO DOES THAT WHEN THEY SAID HOT CHOCOLATE I THOUGHT OH chocolate that sounds good but they could of said with pepper I hate the way people mislead you to buy there products. Go somewhere else

After a run, my brother and I were walking up to hyppo. It was approximately 8:53. The doors were locked. Its a dang popsicle. You dont have to locked the doors early. come on people. You dont even make them there. Hire better employees.

Some of the most inspired popsicle flavors Ive ever tried are sold here, and best of all theyre constantly cycling new flavors in and out. If you go, be sure to grab a rewards card; after 6 popsicles youll get the 7th free!

Truly unique frozen deserts. Made from fresh ingredients. I like The Hyppo is a great follow up to a spicy dinner at Burrito Gallery next door. Be sure not to miss The Hyppo if you are visiting Riverside.

Worth stopping by anytime you are near Jacksonvilles downtown! Just a couple minutes off interstate 95. Its a tasty treat experience for every palette with a huge variety of flavor combinations. Love it!
