I had a pair of new Skechers in the closet for several months before I finally took them out and began to take a few walks around the neighborhood. They were probably the most comfortable walking shoes I have ever owned. About a month ago, however, I set out in my Skechers on a six-day, 80-mile walk from Atlantic Beach to Lake City. By the second day, I developed discomfort on my right heel, which at first I thought was caused by a blister. But there was no blister. Instead, the heel of my right shoe had begun to disintegrate, and a large chunk of the heel had disappeared, causing extreme pronation of my foot and considerable discomfort. I was in the middle of nowhere, so I had no choice but to continue limping all the way to Lake City. One of the worst walking experiences I have ever had. Now I am searching for a well-built shoe capable of withstanding hundreds of miles on the road.

Helpful staff. Too bad the Avenues Mall is so hectic. Wish you were at the Town Centre!
